I've been using chrome as my browser for awhile now. I didn't try it out at first but once I did I fell in love with its speed and the Omnibar.

For those using the dev channel, do you find it stable?

I tried it once and the first page I went to (facebook) made the browser go kapoot.

I still think Chrome has been getting worse over time. I have the most up to date version but it's unusable as a day to day browser. Far too many bugs, it crashes fairly frequently but more severely than that there are scores of pages it does not properly work with.

One thing I have noticed, is that recently one of my sites slows chrome down to a crawl due to its use of flash.

It was after they overhauled the site so that might have something to do with it.

Its been quite annoying so past few days I've been thinking of going back to FF as my main browser but have gotten quite used to Chromes fast loading and the Omnibar (I love that thing).

Also, FF doesnt open Xe.com for me from favourites for some goofball reason.

I'm on chrome and love it. It's a ton faster than firefox, aside from the occasional flash hang up which is rare with the more recent versions. Firefox also couldn't remember my passwords for some reason so here I am.

Yeah it makes them speedy. To me it's nothing more than a fat client for google web apps.

When it's stable and actually works on other websites it will be my go-to due to its streamline approach and the thumbnails and whatever.

One other thing.

Spyware doctor doesn't scan chromes cookies for tracking cookies and neither does spybot SND.

Does anyone know of an anti malware program that does?

BUMP!!

I got an issue with Chrome.

Trying to connect to forums.anandtech.com and I cant. (Am doing this through IE8).

Nothing on the page and in the lower-left corner I got a message saying "Waiting for tenzing.fmpub.net". I let it go for minutes at a time and nothing happens. Tried connecting through the anandtech home page and directly to threads. Doesnt happen.

Anybody know why this is or (more importantly) how to fix it?

I've had that issue many times with Chrome 1.0, I believe it is a bug with Flash rendering or something. I'm not sure if the bug is still present with the latest Chrome 1.0 and Flash plugin. Try updating Flash to the latest version, both IE and Firefox/Chrome/Opera plugin. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ just to be sure. And make sure you're running latest Chrome (Open About Google Chrome from the Tools menu).

That bug was one of the reasons why I switched back to Firefox. Now I'm using Chrome 2.0 but I haven't used it long enough to be certain the bug is gone. I hope it has been fixed, whether the cause is Chrome or Flash plugin.

Been using Spybot with Chrome, and it finds cookies during the scan.

I've been using Chrome off and on for awhile, but lately its starting to become my main browser.

I used to get that kind of thing all the time. Chrome is still a POS, basically.

Ya, back then I was fooled a bit by the fact that Spyware Doc wasn't blatantly saying it was searching them but I now see it does find them.

Oh so sneaky it is...

anyone else notice chromes ability to suck down memory with certain sites? left a lifehacker tab open a few days, it crept past 600mb for that tab alone!

I can say that the bug is certainly gone on 2.0 beta and the latest flash plugin. So far I have only encountered the occasional render bug (minor cosmetic problem) and a few times page rendering has frozen, but since Chrome suggests killing off the page and reloading, it's a non issue really.

I'm sticking with Chrome 2.0, it's fast and lean.

If you want to try either dev or beta versions of Chrome, see http://dev.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel
