I'm fairly new to the Chromebook world. I have an Acer 315 touch screen version running the latest version of Chrome OS. We are used to sleeping with a stand alone white noise player playing an mp3 file of a fan.
So I figured that we could use the chromebook to do that while on the road.
The chromebook uses something called "gallery" for media playing, which evidently doesn't have a "loop audio" button.
So I installed VLC media player for Android, which allowed me to loop the audio. Problem solved, right?
Not really. I'm an early riser, so I often wanted to browse the internet while others were sleeping. Whenever I loaded web pages, the MP3 playback on VLC media player started stuttering heavily -
enough to wake other folks up. I did some research online, and found out that many others are having this same problem.
I tried having the Gallery player playing an MP3, and no stuttering when browsing web pages. Strange.
Can anyone recommend another simple MP3 player program with a simple repeat/loop button that I could use instead of VLC media player? I just couldn't believe that Chromebooks would be so
underpowered that they couldn't play an audio file and browse at the same time. Evidently it's a problem with VLC instead.
Thanks for any suggestions!
