CHROME: Where is my Gmail button?

The last time I reformatted and reinstalled Windows and Chrome (a few days ago)

Chrome installed and after loading my profile it automatically put a handly little Gmail button link right here on the bookmark toolbar (where I circled in red)

I liked it because it took up less space than if i were to add a Gmail link to the bookmark toolbar manually

Due to circumstances, I had to reformat and reinstall Windows again, and reinstalled Chrome, and this time, there is no gmail button there :\

Anybody else know what I am referring too?

Will Gmail Notifier work for you? It won't be on the bookmarks bar, but will be on the address bar with the other extension icons.

You could always right click the bookmarks bar and go into bookmarks manager. Then right click the middle of the page and click "add bookmark", then just put in "gmail" for name and "http://www.gmail.com" for URL..... I tried this and it routes me right to my gmail. I'm sure there is a more legitimate way to do this, but i couldn't find it in the first five minutes so i just did this. Oh, and also you have to move the newly created "bookmark" to the top of the list...

What about setting your home page, and new tab page, www.google.com. That page normally displays a gmail link in the upper right corner of the page. Just click it to open your email.
