You just created a massively inspired opposition and, unfortunately for conservatives, they are the very people who know how to reason.

That's a massive contradiction. If they could reason they wouldn't be running around like morons screaming Russians all day. Their moral outrage is that they lost, so they stomp their feet, scream louder, and throw a child's tantrum. They think they're smarter than Trump... but now they act just like him. In fact, you might argue that they ARE him.

Imagine that, Democrats look in the mirror and see the President-elect.
How many brain cells did they have to lose to contract the CBD?
Perhaps their intellect was merely an imitation all along. Little Westworld bots thinking they could think.

Yes, so much better to trust unnamed sources and senior unnamed officials and unidentified agencies and anonymous contributors.

I think we would all agree that it's better to trust the CIA than John Bolton, considering his history.

I mean you weren't duped by that idiot again, were you?

I'll wait till the end of a bipartisan investigation that includes both outgoing and incoming intelligence officials.

Multiple major news outlets with a longstanding record for accurate sources are more trustworthy than Bolton, who has a history of playing fast and loose with facts,

Yes, it would be good if there were a public announcement of these assessments, and the investigation will help toward that, but I certainly wouldn't dismiss these leaks out of hand.

I can wait for a full investigation instead of lynching the folks you don't like. We'll see.

So basically you're claiming the US intelligence community has been politicized. Well that basically means it can never be trusted again and should be disbanded.

How convenient. Do you ever think through what you're saying?

Nope, i think that outgoing President Obama has tried to politicize it. Just the same way that he tried to politicize the IRS, DOE, EPA, DoJ etc. It's not as if i'm a lone voice out in the wilderness.

You're just in a different bubble.
The thing about being in a bubble is that everything you see and believe are part of that bubble. When you say that somebody else is in a bubble, that's your bubble talking. eskimo asked you if you ever thing through what you say but for you that's not going to happen because you don't see it's necessary. Your bubble is a complete world view. You don't need to think, you just say what your bubble tells you is true. The only people who will see the bubble nature of your world will be people who use reason to best guess the nature of reality. So do no be offended if some people find you amazingly out there. You are but you can't help it. Just remember that when you imagine you know what you are talking about, you actually have no idea.

Whoops. This was in response to the poster Fskimopy offered the above quoted reply. I got it wrong.

=======The Tajmahal confused information specialist =======
You can't be that stupid. There have been "factions" during the high point of the Cold War, but they were knots of people. You had two sides of the house: clandestine operations, which in various ways ended as a CIA oversight in the mid-70s. And you had "intelligence gathering." You don't hire people to gather intelligence or do specific jobs because they're politically oriented.

The issue here is really how many sane people there are in the CIA, how many sane people there are in the FBI, how many sane players in the US Congress. Who is lying, and who isn't.

And you should probably include yourself in that psych evaluation.

The Trumpers will shit all over the national security apparatus if it isn't somehow "loyal" enough to avoid offering up the facts?

And the facts don't matter if they present an unpleasant picture of Trump Supporters, the Republican Party, and these loose cannons in the White House and its cabinet?

Who the hell do you think you are?!

If the Russians did it it was primarily meant to hurt Clinton, not necessarily meant to help Trump. They felt she went out of her way to hurt Putin during their parliamentary elections a couple of years ago and sought vengeance. Funny how there's so much outrage here about this ("How dare they do it to US!!!") but not a peep when we do it around the globe. Come on, assholes. You can't have it both ways. Either you're a saint or a player.

This is a great start to them turning a new leaf, though. I am impressed wth their resolve, and their willingness to lose all those sweet sweet torture contracts in Jordan just to defend some smarmy concept of democracy.
Um, what?

I'm assuming they are ok with Obama trying to influence the Brexit vote.

1) I wonder if there is a difference between the actions taken in the two?

2) By your logic we would have to be okay with someone bombing the US because we're bombing Syria.

The ad at the top of the page is for a manure spreader.

I found it strange the intertubes would personalize that ad for me, then I scrolled down.

A month later the sour grapes are still sour

It's amazing to see how insane this election has made some people when their response to finding out that a hostile foreign power covertly intervened to try and change the outcome is 'sour grapes!'

Party before country I guess. Sad!

By 'party' you mean 'US intelligence community', right?

Again, how badly has someone lost it when their response to finding out a hostile foreign power is meddling in our elections is to blame Democrats?

I usually wait to see real tangible evidence, not what someone feels or suspects. The FBI does not agree with the CIA assessment. But of course the sour grape gang is going with whatever they feel cost them the election.
