Um... how exactly is what I posted completely wrong? He didn't begin selling mayonnaise commercially until 1913 and it didn't make its way to the UK until 1961. Basically, this blows the entire story apart as it said that Hellmann's was on the Titanic on its maiden voyage from the UK to New York which, as we know, is not even remotely possible.

Hellmann's was born in 1905 when Richard Hellmann began selling mayonnaise made from his wife's own recipe. Used in salads and sold in their New York delicatessen, the mayonnaise proved so popular that Hellmann began selling it in wooden boats used for weighing butter.

In 1961 Hellmann's mayonnaise arrived in the UK. Mayonnaise was a relatively new concept in Britain so the early years were spent educating people and promoting the product as a side-of-plate condiment.

He was selling it out of his deli in New York. Please explain to me how he could have produced 12,000 jars of mayonnaise operating out of a deli in New York in 1905. He didn't start mass production until 1913. The story is busted. Deal with it.

The fact that Titanic sank on April 15th and not on May 5th kind of debunks this dumb joke too.

Turned some screws on my bike? Sorry, I haven't had many problems with the bike lately that weren't covered by warranty.
