With more tweek time I should be able to run test at 4600mhz.

CineBench for what ever reason was not reading the real CPU speed it misread it at 4.375ghz when it really was 4.5ghz. Shrug!!!!

wow... those are some amazing and impressive scores these new i7-5960x chips are putting up... looks like just to keep my Opterons from being embarrassed i am going to have to add two more 6180SEs and Win 2008 R2 server just to keep up... eesh.

No, look closer, CB is showing it as 3.75 GHz.
I believe CB just takes the base CPU multiplier and times that by the detected clock speed. So in your case, 30 x 125 = 3.75 GHz

Now that most CPUs have Turbo modes where cores run at different clock speeds its really hard to justify what the real CPU speed is anymore, so unless you have manually locked in all cores to a set MHz or set all cores to turbo upto the same multiplier its a fuzzy value. The next time I do a score sheet for a benchmark I doubt I'll even include the CPU MHz, if your curious enough you'll just have to look at their post/screen shot or ask them what each core was running at! Getting too complicated LOL!

4690k@4.6ghz DDR3 Ripjaw 1600mhz stock timings- I try to avoid Cinebench software, it freezes up Core-Temp add on, and all of my OSD keyboard LCD software. This is before I got my 2x 770 SC ACX Sli.

latest results from my 5 year old dual Opteron 8439SE rig...

i managed to find the sweet spot for ref clock... 229 MHz. Processors run rock solid at 3.2 GHz at stock voltage (i am unable to increase voltage unfortunately - processor is locked). Any more than a ref clock of 233... and reboots ensue.

But i think this is a pretty darn good performance for a 2009 vintage setup! Back when this Tyan board was running dual Opteron 2212s... the score was 174.
