Is there a way to check how many minutes I have left in the month?

My girlfriend keeps calling and asking the Cingular representatives if they have anything like that available and they keep telling her that they are working on getting it set up. I love SprintPCS because all I have to do is dial *4 and find out how many minutes I have used and how many are left.

For some reason, my friend's dad was able to tell her "You have 20 minutes left this month. Watch your minutes." They're using a family plan, I wonder if that makes a difference. Maybe I should ask them how they do it! Haha...but I'm so lazy...

I know that some phones have a built in timer on them, but they dont differentiate between anytime and night and weekend minutes.

nope it just gives you the billing report from your last three months.

These companies don't want people knowing how many minutes they have left. That results in people talking too much. They make millions this way.

I still have a crummy plan from a year ago. 120 minutes per month and mobile to mobile. bah, i'd rather have free nights and weekends. i went over by 20 dollars last month.

nope, but it is might only be available in certain areas of the country. About a month ago I wasn't able to check my minutes (under manage my account), but now I can. Go to this page to setup an account and try checking it.

gwalm12: you can change your plan at any time, just call them up. With certain promotional plans, you might have to extend your contract, but this is not usually the case. I've switched rate plans 3x without penalty - although be aware that they either prorate the minutes your first month or wait until your next billing period to activate it.

Cingular is fantastic here in Dallas.

Cingular is horrible in the dorms at UCLA. I've heard that it's because of unlimited nights and weekends. I don't know about that, but I've had an unlimited amount of "System Busy"s. :|

let's face it, all cell phone companies suck haha

but i got in with cingular a long time ago, so i get all these things free that new people don't

free txt messaging, free night/weekends that start at 7 pm
