just a shot in the dark, but anyone know of a good cingular dealer in central jersey/ middlesex county area? i was thinking about driving into little india in iselin/edison, as that's the closest thing we have to a chinatown here. i want a free razr, and i'm very unhappy with my service from t-mobile.

I emailed Verizon Wireless about the Razr, here's the response I got:

Me: "When will the Motorola RAZR phone be available for Verizon Wireless customers?"

VZW: "Currently, Verizon Wireless does not offer the Motorola Razr phone. I am unable to provide information regarding which equipment is being considered or approximate release dates, as this may raise expectations that may not be met...
There are several wireless phones being tested for functionality and reliability with our network. Verizon Wireless will not offer a product or service unless it meets the high standards our customers have come to expect. Verizon Wireless is constantly improving the services, features, and wireless phones we offer to our customers for their communication needs."

Okay endo, enlighten me. I usually call East Asians "oriental" and correct people that call them Asian. Asian is a very broad term. I am Asian, yet I am not from East Asia. Then I get people saying I'm not Asian. True, not the Asian that misguided connotation has construed, but still, I am from Asia, and hence, I am Asian.

I'm Asian and I don't find the word Oriental offense.... I mean, it's a word that's used in regular products (ie. Oriental soup base, Oriental Rug, etc) I don't see how that's anything like the N word. To me, Oriental is the same as Caucasian, is that derogatory? If you want, you can just make a poll for all the Asians here and see who finds the word Oriental offensive to them. I'm positive most of them will not.

Chinatown just refers to a specific part of the city with a high Asian population. There is def a Chinatown in Houston, NYC, and Boston (hell the train stop is even CALLED Chinatown)

Small independent resellers are who to go to for phenomenal deals on phones, whether they are Asian or not.
