Cingular Wireless Hot deal @ California in San Gabriel Valley Area

I'm a long time Cingular Wireless customer in Southern California. In fact I was their customer even when they still called themselves Pacific Bell Wireless. Just yesterday I did a equipment upgrade for my current line at a Cingular Wireless authorize store at San Gabriel area and I also opened 3 additional new line added to my current line that I'm now using. By opening those 3 new lines I have to pay $9.99 for each every month and added to my current bill. So 4 lines (3 new + 1 currently I'm using) together sharing the minutes that I currently have. Cingular Wireless calls this the Family Talk plan.

The good thing is that this authorize store gave me a $200 credit for each line I added. So I totally got $600 credit. So I used these credits and got 2 brand new phone. The good thing is that if you don't want any phone you can ask for credit and they will write you a company check for $600.

so the math is the following:

$9.99 x 12 months (oh yea, 1 year service agreement required) + $18.00 (required activation fee) = $137.88

since I have opened 3 lines the cost for one year is:
$137.88 x 3 = $413.64

$600 credit - $413.64 = $186.36

if I didn't get the new phones $186.36 is how much I can make. Since I have to pay for the line I'm using all I added is $29.97 to my current bill each month plus $18 x 3 for the first month only.

The more lines you add the more you'll make. I'm not sure how much line is limited per account.

The good this is that you don't even have to use those additional line you can just let it sit there and not use it at all. All you can use is just the master line.

Also the store told me that I can even get more $$$$ if I don't do a equpiment upgrade for my current line and just open 4 new lines. I'm not sure how much but I'm sure you can get more than $600. For you people who are using cellphone and it is a must have item then this is a hot deal.

------------========GOOD NEWS========------------
My friend just told me that now you can open 1 new line and 3 additional lines together in a family plan getting the 600 any min + 5000 N+W for 40 + 10 + 10 +10. If you don't get any new phones at all, you'll get a check in amount of $999. This is more than enough to pay for the entire service for a year.

Sounds good, can the credit just sit there on the account to pay for each months bill?

The credit is not issued by Cingular Wireless, it is paid by the authorized store via their own company check. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention the store name in this forum but I can tell you that in San Gabriel valley cell phone store are very competitive almost every store is willing to give you that offer.

If i'm allowed to mention store name I can get you people the store name and location.

My sister's family signed up for one of these and I still couldn't believe the deal. They signed up the share 1000 min for 4 and suppose to get $500 back. They did have to give them a total 4 old *working* phones. Anyone know how long does it take to get the money back

Mostly importantly, how is Cingular's reception now in SGV? I used them yrs ago, and they sucked big time. It used to be so bad that I get busy signals on the weekends when I call other Cing. subscribers.

My ATT GSM sucks big time in SGV and I'm looking to switch and this sounds like a deal if it comes thru and the reception is decent.

I know for sure this deal is going on at a place called Best Wireless located in SGV. Its on Valley Blvd but I dont know what exit... for sure its past the New exit going east. Anyways, my friend works at their store in Rowland Hts and told me about the deal... its pretty sweet, except you wont get that many free phones. The Rowland store is located on Colima and Fullerton.

Basically this was my deal:
Buy a line $39.99 (1000 min, 5000 n+w), add 3 additional lines each $9.99 to form 'family plan'. You get a free phone already for the $39.99 plan... by opening 4 lines total Best Wireless gave me $570 back in the form of a check (I havent gotten it yet). I got a S307 free for my $39.99 plan. Then with the $570 I bought a Nokia 6100... (my friend sed a better one came out now, 7250?) That left me with 570-350 = $220. If you want, you could use that $220 for other cheaper phones... I think 3390s are free I still have my old T-Mobile V60 and V66 which I had them unlock for $10 each. Total that left me $200 bucks left for my monthly payments X|

So damn long I bet nobody is going to read this. But its pretty hot.

Cingular Family plan is limited to 3 addition lines so the total is 4 phone under the same invoice.
I did the same thing few months ago, they gavie me 4x$150 check and 2 monthes later received 4x$50 gift card from cingular. It is very good deal but I think you may able to get even more rebate if you are going to open a $39 or $49 plan, I heard some places will pay you $350 for the primary line. You will need to shop around. If you read chinese, get a Sat chinese newspaper you will see a lot of ad showing a lot of rebate even with a new phone. I've been using Cingular for 3 years now, after switching from sprint, attws, and I think cingular still give me good but not excellent reception, I heard if you want the best, try verizon but their plan is expensive compare to cingular.

This authorize store that I went to gives you the cash back instantly. Yes you suppose get a phone for each line but you can tell them you want money instant.

Cingular is very good now them throw in tons of money to upgrade their infrastructure.

Yes similar deal but I have to say the store I went to is better $200 credit for each family line plus after you sign that contract they write you a check instantly. I know that some store makes you wait 2 to 9 months before you can get back your money.

That's exactly what I did. Like I said if you already using Cingular then jump in this deal and make some money to pay for the bills. You don't even have to use those lines.

wow $350 for the primary line? Nice. $350 + $200 x 3. Open the lines and don't get any phones and just get the money.

Both my sister and gf got in on this deal in the SG valley area too. I believe a # of stores around here is having the deal. Its a very good deal if you plan to open more than 1 more line. Right now me and my sisters are paying about $50/mo for 4 lines w/ 5000 n&w and 1000 anytime (shared over 3 phones)

Don't they need a phone in order to do activation? Why else charge $18.

Is it one of them "speak chinese or no deal" places?

$18 is charged by Cingular and it will show up in the first month's bill they don't charge $18. Of course you don't have to speak chinese to get the deal.
