in the CC in Rockville, MD they had a Tribes 2 box for 4.99, Rouge Spear: Black Thorn for 9.99, Diablo II for 9.99, Alien Vs. Predator for 14.99, Quake 3: Team arena for 4.99 and some others i cant recall. I didnt get anything cause none of the games interest me.

I just picked up the last copy of Ghost Recon at my CC (Little Rock, AR). However, I saw that they had Rogue Spear: Blackthorn, Rogue Spear, Rainbow Six Gold Edition and the Rogue Spear Urban Expansion pack. Are any of these games worth getting even if I have Ghost Recon? I mean, these games are all 2-3 yrs old. It seems like the Rogue Spear/Rainbow Six editions are all predecessors to Ghost Recon - are they just as good?

I also saw Red Faction - how good is that? Since I have dial-up, I'd only be playing these games in single player mode mostly - so that's a factor to consider as well. Thanks for any info!

Not exactly... it is _just_ north of Congressional Plaza... I believe there is a Staples in that plaza as well. It is quite a bit south of the Rockville Metro stop and north of the Twinbrook? stop. Tho I'm sure a MetroBus or Ride-On will get you there...

Local CC must have already been pillaged; only titles worth mentioned were the urban operations expansion for rogue spear and they also had the sum of all fears. Strange thing is, the sum of all fears wasn't in a big box; is it that bad that it is being cleared out already?

I don't know why you would want the 'counterstrike' marked box. You don't get the single player of HL, you get HL without single player and a mod you can download for free.

Picked up Baldurs Gate 2, Klingon Academy (includes BIG manual) and Cossacks for 4.99.
Missed out on Ghost Recon in big Box (were there just days before). Clerk said some guy came in before me and said he'd knew about the deal and that no one in the store was aware of it. Instead of a hard time, he was happy for me. He quickly told another associate about it, who went stalking off looking for deals on his own.

No...Blue Shift and Opposing Forces don't include HL keys. HOWEVER....GUNMAN CHRONICLES (which was rather pathetic) DOES include a HL key. BUY it, use the key, throw away the game. Use YOUR HL CD, and the GUNMAN key when it asks. Congratulations, you have two, legal copies of HL now.

Re: Sum of All Fears - I heard it was a good lite version of Rainbow Six - all the shooting - half (really none) of the planning.

EB has it for $6.99 ($4.99 pre-owned).

OK, this is still alive!

I just swung by my Southern California Circuit City (Santa Clarita, CA) and I picked up several "big box" PC games for great prices.

The prices on the boxes were mostly incorrect. You have to have them scanned to see the actual reduced price.

Here's what I got:

Return to Castle Wolfenstein (Sticker: $49.99, Actual: $9.99)
Aliens vs Predator II (Sticker: $29.99, Actual: $4.99)
Unreal Gold (Sticker: $9.99, Actual: $4.99)
Star Trek Voyager Elite Force (Sticker: $14.99, Actual: $4.99)
Civilization III (Sticker: $4.99, Actual: $4.99)

They still had some big box titles left. For example, there was one more RTCW left. The sales associate was surprised how low the prices were. She was saying "Wow! These are great prices!".

I went today, and was surprised to still see some big boxes at my CC. I got:

Diablo II & Expansion - each $14.95)
Starcraft Battlechest - $4.95

Pools of Radiance - $4.95

I heard Pools of Radiance was buggy, so I wonder if it's even worth $4.95? They also had Diablo II battlechest for $29.99 and Gothic for $9.99.
