You sir, are an idiot without manners, and coming from a rudeguy, thats a pretty bad insult

next time keep your ass at walmart where you can associate with other trailer trash without having to worry about respect or manners.

LOL when did I say I received the rebate? I never mailed in any rebate stuff...

...if you can find where I said otherwise, i'll give you a cookie too

you never said you did, but you implied it by saying that you paid $59.99 then pricematched "plus there was a rebate"

the big thing you did was swear at the person. At my store, if you swear at me once, you are done. I will let you stand there til we lock the doors before I say anything else to you. And that would only be "If you dont leave by the time I set the alarm, the police will come when you set off the motion detectors."

incompetent people shouldn't be able to try and call other people...it just doesn't have any effect

Hey Sh1thead how am i incompetant when your the one who couldn't get a simple refund the FIRST time you tried...moron

Since you had to go to the other store and buy the product and then comeback and return it at CC how is that efficient?

duh i supose you dont drive an M5 since you obviously have to take the short bus to school...do they still make you wear the helment or do they just make you sit in your own filth nowadays?

Anyhoot, you acted like an idiot (this point has been made plenty of time)... It's your gd fault for not checking the receipt upon leaving the place. I used to work for the good guys and I've seen scum bags trying to return all kinda shiets. Shiets that don't even match what they bought, i.e., a fcuking broken stereo that has some numbers off on model number, or beat up old shiets that they try to return after buying some new shiets and say " I open the box and this old junks were inside". You'll have to think of why people act the way they do if you don't have proofs. I usually tell them to take a hike, and most of them are pretty rude if they don't get it their way.

I told her the software was probably all on one cd, but she literally told me "no, get out" ... another customer told her she was fvcked up, if she doesn't know anything about the products she shouldn't assume sh!t, and she said she'd return it as a "one time courtesy."

And this is weird........an unopened box..........from all the boxes of computer crap I've bought over the years, they've been sealed somehow. I've never seen a customer service rep. open an unopened box because if it was truly unopened, it'd be returned to the shelf for resale. Strange that it had to be opened. I've returned stuff to CC, BB, CompUSA and have never, ever had a problem. Case in point...returned a computer case last week to CompUSA. Lo and behold, they didn't bother to open the box to check and see if it was still inside, they just refunded my money without any restocking fee. Of course, I was polite, courteous, and my money was handed with no questions asked.

Stange stories you have. I'd quit going to that CC, but of course you do like swearing in public obviously. Just be glad they didn't call the police for using abusive language to the employees......a form of harrassment these days and can ruin your day at least.

did you take a look at your receipt before you went into CC? Did you make sure that it was the same things?

I do not appreciate you generalizing CC employees as being "fvcking braindead". We become braindead after dealing with people like you who think that just cause we work in retail, we have to kiss your arse for everything. It's true that everyone deserves to be treated well with respect but it has to come from both sides. Once a person thinks that he or she is better than the other, then that's where the conflict comes about. True, you bought the product from CC and you have a right to be able to return it. Like it was stated before, no one knows about you and your purchase history when you walk into the door of CC. Since you say you go there all the time, why didn't you just try to get the person that sold it to you and see if he or she remembers selling it to you and the problem would have been resolved easier. Profanity and rudeness has no place in dealing with people. in order to get what you want from people, you need to be nice. and if you can't be nice, be prepared to get nothing. Since you're so quick to generalize, what makes you so sure that just cause you're an engineer of some sort, that makes you better than anyone else that isn't an engineer? The title of a job is just a title...it's how you use what you have in your head that counts. Being a CC employee doesn't mean that we are incapable of thinking for ourselves. if anything, it's a stepping stone to become an engineer like yourself. Or maybe even a well mannered and respect engineer. I thought once you become an educated person, having gone through so many years of schooling, you would pick up manners and being socially acceptable, but i guess they only teach from the textbook. my guess is that you were studying too hard to become an engineer that you didn't do anything else like socializing in society. Thats why you still have that mentality that people who work at CC or in retail are incompetent. You will never understand people with that kind of mindset. You are too closed off to the world and it's rich culture. We are all different and you just want to understand it in your small world. remember, just cause you think it's right, doesn't make it right and when dealing with people, you got to know how to talk to them. People make mistakes and I'm sure you do too. If you don't want to deal with the heat when you make a mistake, then don't get down on people so hard when they make one too.

The best ever was when I went to return a video camera to Best Buy that I had bought literally an hour before. They were going to charge me a restocking fee on this unopened item...I said that only applies to opened items. The lady replied, well, I have to open it to make sure you haven't used it. At this point, I asked for a manager, who gave me a bit of hassle, but eventually let me return it.

My wife sadly is back in retail due to the Programming market being utterly dead in West Palm Beach Florida....now she is not just an ordinary run-of-the-mill recent grad (she's 10 years and 8 days older than me actually looks at least 5 years younger...people tell me I robbed the cradle )......

She is Japanese and came from Japan for an scam of a lifetime job here ($10 per hour 50-60hour work weeks without break, any day off had to have two days working to make up if she wanted pay).

She was making approx $6k US while in Japan, programming just about any Java, script, HTML, database (db2, oracle, access, SQLServer), application IBM could throw at them...Her company was a direct contractor covering Japan, and she was one of the top lead managers reporting to some VP at IBM directly as well as her own company's President. She worked on projects measured in years, that covered the whole country....no small fluff.

However now she works retail clothing....she actually likes it which is good, and she's making more than she did wth the 'scam of a lifetime' job (do the math it's pretty high for pay in retail)...they want her to be a manager now, but her engrish is still a little shakey...ESP when as#holes come in and are trying to scam or steal stuff. She can't decypher the words well enough but fortunately she has a feel for something is wrong....upper management likes that....most of the 'girls' there just ring up the return and they end up getting back a ruined/worn out/another store item, they can't resell.

Everyday she comes home telling me 'American's are very rude and mean' or 'American's don't care they ruin the store's items' .... it's a mess, I have to get into arguments with her how we aren't better off moving to Japan...however I am beginning to think maybe that's not a bad idea. It's just a big black hole for me.....I don't know what I'd do there, and I worry about their laws doing me in. I get in enough trouble here already.

I think you guys need to ease up a bit on him. Sure he over reacted with the whole cursing thing. But think about it, he obviously brought the right receipt. CC just jacked him out of 60 bucks because he went back, got a price adjustment and whoever did it typed in the sku wrong. I'd be a little pissed too. If that lady at the customer service had half a brain she would have realized this because the receipt would show a price adjustment was made. She didn't put two and two together, but then again neither did wassup, lol.
I think if cooler tempers had prevailed, one of them might have realized what had happened. Let me also say I'm not a big fan of Circuit City myself. They used to have a return policy with a 10 or 15% restocking fee deduction when they first opened by us. That ticked me off. So if you bought a $200 dvd player, if you had to return it, they made you pay $20 to have someone take the stupid thing in the back and put it back on the shelf. I never went there after I found out about that cute little thing. Funny though, around the time Best Buy opened up a store here, the restocking fee seems to have dissappeared! Go figure! That combined with some stories I've heard about the way the management there treated their employees, made me a Best Buy customer all the way.

If he hadn't mention it happened before we probably would have....2x is pushing it, there must be more to the story than he is giving us.

As a retailer, I am caught on a fine line with restocking fees. A return costs me money, maybe $1, $5, or $10 whatever, but I buy low and sell low and many times that return ended up costing me 2 sales worth of profit. If the item was not compatible I am all for a refund....however most buy and shop still then cancel the order or return it.

Most of the times, after the shipping fee they get, we are still cheaper...however people (idiots?) only look at the selling price and consider the shipping separate.

You can't, he doesn't handle issues like this, i do... and even if they leave and go looking for the manager, he just refers him back to me.

I get most of my kicks throughout the day dealing with people that want something that's out of the range of our policies.

I have a similar job.

It's funny; the customers who are polite and nice get refunds from me... even if it is outside of our policies.

I'll string the a**hats along for a while before deciding whether or not I want to issue a refund.
