My fam has five (5) games systems (way too many) and we do not plan to buy this for the forseeable future. The #1 reason that kills this deal (other than the price) is the fact that you have to go out and buy a whole NEW set of games for it, effectively doubling the price of the system just to own a few games!
The #1 reason I believe the PS2 was an instant success was that it was backward compatible. Not only did it have great new PS2 games BUT it could play all your old PS1 games as well. This is not the case for the PSP. It is a handhels with a small form-factor that does not easilty allow for porting of console titles.
The bottom line for me is that you can get both a NEW PS2 AND XBOX for the price of the PSP ans a few games. It just does not make economic sense (unless you are a young, male, early adopter , etc. who has the funds).
