Circus clowns ---> evil or ok?

I like to distract my co-workers once a week or so with off the wall questions like this. The only thing more disturbing than the fact that I do this is the answers I actually get.

seriously though, some kids laugh all the way watching them, while other get very scared...

i was at a friend house once, and clowns came on tv, his little girl like 3 years old started screaming and crying and came running to me, i left her up in my lap, telling its ok sweety, but man i could feel the little poor kid heart beating like crazy, there is no doubt in my mind that she was seriously terrified right out...

i personaly never liked them or thought they are funny...

I remember my mom and dad taking me to the circus when I was ALOT younger. We were walking around and my dad was carring me when a clown came up to us and he or she tried to entertain me. Well, he got a little too close for my liking and from what my dad says I started thrashing my arms around knocking of his wig and nose. Since then I HATE clowns.
