The cool thing is they are havng it on sale for 19.99. So guys, just bring the add to CC and PM it. They will honor it and give you 110% back($22.00).

i was thinking of installing it tonight and checking it out. I only said I had heard this in the past. Not comfirming it is a toshiba. Mine says on the label Manufactured by TOP-G. lol


Update - installed. BCD E520C is what windows is identifying it as.
Firmaware 0.49

Running some test now.

Oh well this drive is not clone cd compat. but isnt too bad. Its for a computer for my mother that I am piecing together. 5 dollars will do.

Well, I just did a &quot;copy CD&quot; with Clone CD using the I/0 magic 40x as the read drive, and my trusty Iomega 12x10x32x as the write drive and it worked flawlessly. Clone CD version 2.8.3.1 recognises the I/O magic drive as &quot;BCD E520C 0.49&quot;. So, I'm not sure what you mean by not compatible because I just used it to make a copy from drive to drive.

Below is the info that Clone CD saw.

i got everything you did in clone cd. But it said this drive is not supported by clone cd. Might be the version of clone i am using. dont know. I already took it out and put my mitsumi back in. I only bought it for a computer im building. thanks for the info though.

What's up with Circuit City having TWO different rebates for the same item ? I mean for example, if you buy the Plantronic Headset, you have to fill out, make copies, and send in TWO rebates, one for $20 and one for $5 to get your $25 rebate. That's twice the amount of work, forms to fill, copies to make, stamps to use, and checks to cash. I mean these rebates go to the same PO Box, just different dept. Pretty soon, there'll be a deal with $50 rebates, but you have to fill out 10 forms for $5 each just to get your $50.
