I want to take the GF to see it...problem is, the 'upper orchestra' tickets are sold out. Also, I'd prefer not to get wet, which is what Im assuming happens when you sit in the 'wet seats'. Should I just bite the bullet, and get orchestra tickets a bit higher up, or save a bit, and get balcony seats. From what I have read, besides the limited view seats, there is not a bad seat in the house. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have a couple of DVDs of them and they're spectacular:

Quidam (1999)
Dralion (2000)

saw 'saltimbanco' in december in an arena setting. they had the stage on the floor and half the arena was behind stage and blacked out and the upper deck of the arena blacked out.
so, it resembled a theater type arrangement, i can't imagine there being a bad seat in the place in that type of arrangement at this arena. We were on the floor, in hindsight I do wish I'd have saved some money and got tickets higher up, personally. YMMV.
the show / production was freaking fantastic though.

saw the show once with obstructed view seats... from what i can tell, the seats on the side of the theater aren't as good, but the ones in the middle are ok; there's just a railbar. seeing as the seats next to ours were about twice as much, i'd say it was an acceptable tradeoff.

at the start of the show when the clowns are walking around, the "Drippy ceiling" was right next to our seats. so that was cool. show itself is great.

Saw a different one (not O) in vegas, I bit the bullet and got the expensive seats down in front, but once I got inside the theater I quickly realized that even the further seats weren't that far away from me. So you're right about "not a bad seat in the house", except for the "limited viewing" seats they offer.

If it's anything like KA I'd get at least 10 rows back.

I have seen Mystere, O, and Love.

All shows were fantastic... I don't like ordering them from favorite to least favorite, but if I had to I would say that O was the best, Mystere was 2nd, and Love was 3rd. Seriously though, they were all great.

Pretty much all seats are good. Try not to get "obstructed view", other than that, don't worry. My favorite seats were first row/middle/upper.

Unfortunately, the only Cirque I've seen is Wintuk in NYC. That show was horrible. I tried to like it (especially since I paid a good chunk of money to see it), but I wouldn't return even if it were free. The acts were not impressive by any means (we've all seen bmx bike and skateboard tricks) and the ceiling was too low for the performances to look challenging. It's like watching a tightrope performance that's 6 feet off the ground. And unfortunately, for this show, seating does matter. Because of the curved nature of the stage, a seat off to the side means you'll miss things happening on the other side of the stage.

This doesn't apply to the OP, of course. I've heard good things about other Cirque performances. But how they let this show get through is beyond me.

I saw it at downtown Disney in Florida. Was a great show. I actually posted on ATOT about it before I went and bought tickets. Whoever told me to get the 2nd tier seats... thanks! If you end up on the floor level, you'll walk out of the stadium with a sore neck because 3/4 of the show (at least the one I was at) is in the air.
