I'm trying to configure a Aironet 4800 card to work on a Dell Inspiron (7500 I think) latop with Windows 98.
I can get the card installed and everything. I can get a connection to the WAP (which is a Cisco Aironet WAP 340) and associate and see signal strength and everything through the Cisco utility.
Problem is, the laptop won't get a DHCP address from the DHCP server on the network. Even if I give it a static IP it can't ping any of the machines on the network, nor is it pingable from any of the machines on the network.
The card appears properly in the Network control panel.
Anybody have a clue why the card won't get on the network?
