After I noticed that garbage trucks cause a lot of traffic, I am moved all landfills and incinerators to a dedicated 6-lane garbage loop right off the freeway. And it seems to be working well. It has definitely reduced traffic in the areas that previously had landfills and incinerators.
Bump. Unbelievable no responses to this post.
In any case, Paradox is allowing some streamers to play the game and is allowing Youtube videos starting today. Game launches in a week.
Reddit posters are loving what they see so far.
BTW, GMG has the Deluxe version for $29.19 with VIP discount. I'm grabbing it tonight.
It's so hard to get excited for PC gaming these days, everything is so hyped up and the delivery is so mediocre.
I just want one damn good builder game before I die that I can invest a few hundred hours into.
I think though that the first mod I am installing is to stop the bird's tweets.
This is why the burbs and crap cities don't flow well, they left the grid so their city planners could "think outside the box"I have the standard grid style city sorted out, now I need to work on the aesthetics and thinking outside the box.
If you care about the achievements or not, there is a mod that will enable them again as well as by default it turns off the achievements when using any mods
One question I do have, anyone know how to bring up the Commercial Happiness? Right now I have all of them up to 95-96% except fro commercial which is stuck at 78%
What is the name of the mod that enables them again? I do not need mods to make the game easier but turning off that darn bird is pretty much mandatory to save my sanity.
Edit... Nevermind I found it. Howerver I hear it has bugs. I will just deal with Chirpy for now.
How's the performance with huge cities? I just picked it up after watching some videos. Looks like old school simcity with some great additions. I'm only gaming on a GTX 640 until the new cards launch, so I'm hoping it will run it.
