Anyone want to share tips for the beginner? Common mistakes to avoid?
Incinerators and Crematoriums have a limited range (i think)
Traffic management is more important than ever, many structures don't exert influence over a range like they did in sc4, a police station will send out cars to deal with crimes, if they get stuck in traffic jams well... crimes don't get dealt with, city collapses, same goes for other services, healthcare, garbage, deathcare etc.
Offices satisfy industrial demand, not commercial. They also generate less traffic and pollution, but they dont generate goods for the commercial sector to sell
Left click to change the direction of a one way road, think you may need to have the road upgrade selected for this
One way roads go in the direction you drag to construct them, theres arrows on the road that show this
Solar is the cheapest power source, wind is the next cheapest, hydro never works (for me anyways)
You cant draw your own roundabouts, they just end up as circular intersections littered with traffic lights, use the roundabouts already in game as they have no traffic lights (good thing!)
Railways suck and are a pain to setup (except for cargo), use subway stations instead
If anything annoys you (like having to bulldoze burned down buildings) look on the steam workshop for a mod. Mods are easy 1 click things now, you don't even have to close the game down, might need to reload your city though. Gone are the days where mods were a pita to install and once installed you cant get rid of them
