I dropped mine about 6ft onto brick and it died. the hour hand stopped moving. Haven't called to see about getting it fixed yet. I like the looks of this one...

Me too.
Eco-Drive, Titanium w/ Perpetual Calendar. (non chronograph, hate the complexity)

That means that the crystal is susceptible to scratching. I will only wear sapphire for EDC. If you're going to spend this much money to get a quality watch, get one with a sapphire crystal.

The watch is powered by a rechargable battery which is constantly recharged by any light source. Sunlight, flourescent, incandescent lighting will all work. Supposedly good in the dark for about 5 months after a full charge.

certain models can go as long as 10 year (fully charged), so they say.
as for easily scratched, yeah, it's kinda like that.

Well, to be honest with you though, some mineral crystals are "scratch resistant". Some are most definitly better then others though. A sapphire crystal would be great though, but in a typical men's watch of about this size, the crystal alone will cost about $130-150.... so there goes the price for this watch in just that crystal. I have had a Wenger S.A.K watch (Swiss Army Knife company) for the last 8 years that I pretty much wear 24/7 that has a mineral crystal and not a single scratch. I've done a decent amount of damage to the steel backing and titanium band during this time as well (small chuncks taken out where it was wacked hard against something, scratches into the sides of the band, a few gashes on the top on the diving air timer thingy...)

Go here:

Ofrei

and you'll see that the most expensive sapphire crystal they have is $45.

Can you get by without scratching your watchface? Yes. And even if you do scratch it, is it the end of the world? Of course not. But I choose to not have to worry about it. All it takes is one errant scratch on the crystal for that nice new shiny watch to lose its luster...

These watches are always discounted. Take that markdown with a tablespoon of salt. THe fit and finish isn't bad for $150, but I'd by an invicta sub copy before this. A few more bucks (ok, another $100 or so) buys a really nice Hamilton Khaki with sapphire crystal on both sides. $50 less buys you a Invicta.

Are there any decent watches made from titanium that sell for < 150? I honestly don't know much about watches but I want one that looks good for business and is rugged enough to last when i'm out having fun. The invictas look nice. I'm a fan of the simpler desings and the "mechanical" look. Any specific recommendations for the price range? Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread.
