Well, to be honest with you though, some mineral crystals are "scratch resistant". Some are most definitly better then others though. A sapphire crystal would be great though, but in a typical men's watch of about this size, the crystal alone will cost about $130-150.... so there goes the price for this watch in just that crystal. I have had a Wenger S.A.K watch (Swiss Army Knife company) for the last 8 years that I pretty much wear 24/7 that has a mineral crystal and not a single scratch. I've done a decent amount of damage to the steel backing and titanium band during this time as well (small chuncks taken out where it was wacked hard against something, scratches into the sides of the band, a few gashes on the top on the diving air timer thingy...)
