well, I should have listened to you. Figured the men's wouldn't be an issue, but thats the exact problem I have with it. So, back in the box it goes. I knew I should have tried to find it locally to see it firsthand.

ive owned my eco drive for almost 8yrs now...not a single problem. I had to have the crystal replaced after about 6yrs...i wear it 24/7 and it had gotten pretty scratched from kayaking and rafting etc...

You take it to a jewelry store and pay about $5 to have them remove the correct number of links so it fits your wrist properly.

I've had to get links removed from every good watch I've owned.

that's not the issue. As NutBucket said, the first 3 links on either side of the face are less flexible, and it makes the band an ovoid shape when you put it on if you have taken links out of the band. This makes the edges of the first flexible link stick out.

Some watches will only fit certain wrist sizes due to the curvature of the bands. No matter how many links you remove, it simply won't sit right. This is something you have to watch out for.

Possibly the best watch known to man.

I prefer the sieko kinetic perpetuals to the citizen ecodrives.

However about your fitting problem, all watch bands are pretty much the same size bu default, you just have to order some exta links and have them added at the jewelry store.

The seiko kinetic perpetual has sleep mode to save energy after 24 hours of non use, as soon as you pick it back up... it is self resetting even if it has not been worn for up to 4 years, and has an accurate date keeper (including leap years) until Feburary 28 2100.
