Would you rather have:

1) Citrus mahi-mahi with lemon herb sauce, jasmine rice, baby carrots and grilled asparagus

or

2) Sour lemon fish with rice, carrots and aspargus

Is this some kind of trick question? Both could be the same damn thing in the end, the first just sounds more appetizing and fancier.

If srs, I voted 1) but I think that too is what you would choose anyway.

You explained the whole point and missed it at the same time. I'm impressed.

— Stimulating taste buds. Come mealtime, passengers can forget TV dinners. US Airways serves citrus mahi-mahi with lemon herb sauce, jasmine rice, baby carrots and grilled asparagus in international business class.

Exactly. While Im not opposed to detailed or embellished descriptions, sometimes I just yearn for the good old days of plain jane information.

#1 will be $35.99
#2 will be $11.99

All that extra pretentiousness costs a lot of dough.

So true. Why does anybody have to make more than $20 an hour these days? Obama should tax the rest to make sure everyone can have some sour fish tonight.

This.
And Mahi-mahi is Sea Carp.

It can't be like carp, because while I generally cannot tolerate any kind of seafood (ANY!), I actually can enjoy a plate of blackened mahi-mahi. The cajun seasoning may have either covered up all of that nasty seafood flavor, or mahi-mahi simply is better than other fish.
And I cannot imagine any other fish, regardless of how it is seasoned, actually being palatable for me.

now that's good eats.

This needs more attention...

You are Canadian, and you are having "Fish and Chips."
The question: Are they true chips, or are they fries.

(btw: bleh!)

of course they're fries.

We use the British phrasing here in Canada.

Halibut > every other fish there is.

Srsly. All these noobs calling it mahi mahi. It's dolphin, at least so says anyone who's ever caught one or in a state where people catch them.

True, but just so people don't think you are referring to the other dolphins, pic below. Probably would not go over as well on menus if it were listed as "blackened dolphin" or "grilled dolphin", lol.

I don't know about where you live, but I've never heard anyone call them "dolphins", although I've read that some people do...they are more correctly known as "dolphinfish"... Mahi Mahi is the Hawaiian name. "Dorado", is common in southern waters, among other names.

Dolphins, as everyone knows are mammals; these are obviously fish, and completely unrelated, so that's why the name dolphin-FISH is the correct term.

To each his own.

Yeah, I didn't know if y'all followed their misnomer pattern or not. For shame Canada, for shame. Should have followed us in this case as well.
