well I can cross my fall and winter off my calendar. I know what I'll be addicted too.
I wasn't planning on doing anything this fall anyway. I hope my wife can find a new hobby. :|

I feel dirty saying it, but I have never played a Civ game. I did adore Alpha Centuri though!
While it's not the best idea, it was valiant. And Molotov's sure do make them panzers toasty little ovens.Wonder if cavalry can still hold off a tank. I think the Polish proved they couldn't in WW2. Not really
so wuts up with the hex system over the old square tiles? is this why stacking is gone since tiles can be attacked from more directions now?
we should post about it more, then it might come sooner :awe:Is it Fall yet?
If they include everything in the vanilla game, they have nothing left for the expansionsdo not like the lack of religion. It was done quite well in Civ IV. It's had probably the biggest effect on civilizations in real life outside of things like fire and electricity. Not sure how you can take that out. Also I thought the civics were great, and very well done. Not sure I like them being replaced, but 'social policies' just sounds the same to me, so hopefully...

I think hexes make sense, you get more avenues of movement that way.
Hmmmm.... more directions with hex tiles? I count 6 possible directions. In Civ4 there are 8 possible directions because you could also move over the corner of a tile.
so in fact units can be attacked from less directions now with hex tiles.

SNORGLE!!!!!
I love simulating my inner desire to conquer Europe.
Actually tiles can be attacked from fewer directions. Now they can only be attacked from 6 directions, versus 8 with square tiles.
