CL-2- PC3200 512MB memory choice?

Hi, I'm looking for a stick of PC3200 CL2 memory. Now normally, I look up pricewatch, shopping.yahoo.com, etc. But After dealing with and getting burned by a few vendors online :disgust:. I decided to ask here. Would anyone here have a recommendation on a CL2 512MB stick of PC3200 for under $120? An opinion would help as well.

System processor, Sempy 3100+

Board chipset will be K8T800, Albatron k8t800 or Soltek K8T800.

crucial ballistix is 140, it's a little more than you would like but they are killer sticks. get them off crucial.com if you are worried about retailer quality.

ReMeDy, why not a K8T800 Pro chipset board? You will get a working PCI/AGP lock if you get a Pro. And from what I've been reading lately, you don't need CL2 for an A64 rig. You can go with some affordable CL2.5 or CL3 memory and get the same results (benchmark scores).

IMo valueram is HUGE gamble if you want to overclock, I've seen so many sticks that will hardly do any higher that +10-15MHZ above stock. Valueram is PERFECTLY fine for stock tho, don't get me wrong. It's just that overclocking isn't like what it use to be, "a cheap way to maximize your system", now it's become a very expensive hobby. If I were you I would get some cheap Kingmax PC3500 or even PC4000, the 512mb pc3500 is only $85 a stick and $100 for the DDR500. JBT has gotten his A64 3200@2.5ghz with the pc4000 stuff and alot others had have some good success with the pc3500 stuff.

If you really have $$$$ to spend, get the ballistix, in anand's article its the only stuff that will produce the same impressive results on the AMD platform as the Intel. (its good to DDR460 at tight 2-2-2 timings!)
