Thanks for the information.
Will you have some time to run gaming benchmarks also?
I'll take care of it for tomorrow for everyone as i am right now trashed.
Now all we need is someone with Phenom II x4 and Megahalems to go up against Hey Zeus and his Overclocked Core i3.
Select the games, resolution, detail settings and then compare the gaming benchmarks.
Bargain chip vs AMD Flagship? How close are they when both are max 24/7 OC'd.

Have the comparo you want right here bro.
I3 @ 4.8Ghz Vs X4 965 @ 3.8Ghz
Sometimes gaming benchmarks are different, although I do realize the Core i3 does take a good sized hit a higher frequencies due to its reduced memory performance and lack of L3 cache.
I'm strongly suspect the OP is a Intel advertiser that promotes i3 overenthusiastically in this board...
IF that were the case don't you think i would have an ES of a 32nm Quad in my room?
I'm just an Intel Fanboi. Plain and simple

Are you joking me Scholzpdx? Its not like he is going around parading Clarkdale as the best processor in history. If he was acting like the guys on AMDzone then yea i wouldn't listen to him either. But the guy is being real and saying the processor is weak in a lot of areas, but is fun as hell to overclock.
Grow the hell up

2nded, Being a fanboy disqualifies you from saying anything about a processors performance (its called bias). No need to listen to any more of his posts.
Just an FYI, but according to Frostytech, the best air cooler they've reviewed for socket AM3 is not the Megahalems but the 3RSystem Iceage 120 Boss II: http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2461
Since that heatsink is almost impossible to find, the #2 best HSF for AM2/AM2+/AM3 according to Frostytech appears to be the Zalman CNPS10X Extreme (no review available, which is a bit odd, but at least you can buy the thing).
I don't consider them to be the absolute authority on such things, but it's still interesting to note that the Megahalems wasn't considered to be "the best" for AM3. It's also interesting to see the Thermalright Ultra 120 so high on their list, but not the Ultra 120 eXtreme . . .
Re-read how they test their coolers. Frostytech has the best testing methodologies for heatsinks bar none. There is no megahalem cooler on that review that I can find. Also, they don't give enough specs on what platform they were cooling. Bad review IMO.
But them if you look at their top 5, the megahalem is number one by temperature !!!
Are you referring to this graphic? Seems noticeable, but not more than a 5% increment.HT is definitely not a gimmick. And it better not be considering its extra power consumption.
