Class is cheating: Turn them in?

Calculus class.
A couple students are cheating (they have the test). 2-3 students.
Would you turn them in? This class is hard and they are making an easy A.

No they won't give me the test, because they want me to fail. Jealous probably? I don't know.
How do I know they are cheating? They showed me the tests and then even offered to let me see it.

I'm just going to let them cheat. I won't turn them in. I don't really care. What would you do?

How are you gonna prove that they've the paper in their hands?? Unless you can convince the lecturer to rewrite a whole new paper, she/he will just assume that you're trying to pull her legs.

The guy's sister took the class 2 years earlier and she uses the same test.

That is proof enough, isn't it?

If you weren't afraid of repercussions, I'd turn them in...but it depends on the circumstance. Or maybe a compromise...have the teach change the values and see if they notice on the exam and at least that way it'll make them calculate some new answers out (I don't know how far you're into calc)

It's not. If the lecturer uses the same test, it's his/her fault for not changing the questions or at least make more questions where she can pick them randomly for each exam.

the teacher is just lazy for not making up a new test...dont turn them in..but just write the teacher a note to the teacher telling him/her that people can cheat on her test. and if he/she doesnt want people cheating she should make up new tests...

there's no need to turn them in. it doesn't hurt you any that theyre cheating is it? id understand maybe if it were graded on a curve, but otherwise, like you said, who cares.

those are called koofers and lotsa college students study from them.. however 99% of the professors will be smart enough to change the damn test...
one of the fraternities here has a database of tests from every single class since 1995... they are sick bros.

No. The educational system is fundementally flawed which makes it inherently unfair to students. Cheating is key.

It's not cheating I woudl say it is a baiscally fair method...they are just reviewing sample problems. It is the teacher's fault for keeping the exact same questions.

We have that at our school. It's called the test bank. Most of the professors are smart enough to change the test though

I have a feeling that the professor isn't going to give a damn. I mean, she's so incompetent that she'll use the same test for years. Once someone finds out, which isn't hard to happen, old tests being used as a study guide is inevitable.

Turn them in. Otherwise the teacher will find out somehow and make the whole class retake the exam. Atleast thats what happened some a few of my friends in Chemistry last year [test got leaked around, teacher makes everyone take the final again].
