Can Amazon mp3s be played without special licenses or software? Do you have to be connected to their server to obtain authorization to play them or are they just plain mp3s? I'm actually interested in buying mp3s, but the stories I've heard is that they're a big pain and then after awhile the company that sold them to you goes out of business and they become unplayable.
They are normal MP3s. Download once, copy to any device. I don't know if they have some kind of watermarking that ID's them to your account, though.
Amazon used to sell MP3's you can download once, and then that's it.
Now, they put them in 'the cloud' they have and you can download unlimited times IIRC.
