Just something trivial, but is there a way to clear the list of previous icons on the "Hide Inactive Icons" dialog for the system tray? Mines gotten really long and its hard to find what you're looking for now.
You are using two incompatible terms. The task bar and the system tray are different things. The taskbar is what you get when you hit the start button. The system tray is the list of icons in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
To remove folders under the taskbar just right click and select delete.
If you are referring to the system tray (which I think you are) Go to run under start and type "msconfig". Choose the startup tab and untick anything you do not want to have start up automatically. You really should have no more than 10 icons in that list max anything more and your probably seriously slowing your system down.
