clearing history in search bar

How do I clear out the history in the search bar of google? I'm not talking about the address bar. Let's say I type in "car..", then IE would show all words I typed in before that begins with "car" such as "carrot, caring, carcass,...". I, ahum, need to get rid of some evidence . Thank.

You can individually highlight each one in the drop-down menu and "Delete" them...

Click on tools> internet options> clear history. Do this whenever you don't want mommy to see what you been looking at.

Also If your are especially bad and you want history and searches erased download TWEAK UI, a big favorite of mine. Do a search for it and get the correct one for your O/S.

Thank you all for answering. After I posted, I went and try a few things. Clearing history does not work. The whole list still shows up when I type in first few letters. What I did is go to Tool>Internet Options>Contents>AutoComplete>Clearforms. And just to be sure I also go into Windows folder and delete everything in Temporary Internet Files and Content IE5 folders. And Rahb, I was not THAT bad, just a little bit Again, thank you all.
