Client Logon Scripts

Ok I've my script made and it works just the way I want it, only problem now is it won't run when a user logs in. I have it in the Scripts folder under "c:\WINDOWS\sysvol\sysvol\testdomin.local\scripts" then in the profile of the user I want the script to exe on, in the login script box I have "\\server\sysvol\testdomain.local\scripts\script.bat"

Is there something I'm missing b/c on the Client XP box the script just isn't running? I can run the script manually by navagating to the folder and running it that way and it works but as far as it running by itself, It won't do it. Is there a domain security policy that needs to be changed inorder for it run on an XP machine?

Also, how can I enable it so the user it able to change their system time? I have it enabled in the the Domain Controller Security Policy for Domain users but it still won't allow the user to change the time. Any ideas on that would also be helpfull.

Assuming your domain is 2000 based, you have to make sure the DNS of the client is pointing to the server...it should pick up the script..mine does..

Either create a GPO and change it in that or change the default domain policy. the contoller policy applies to the local DC's only. also ensure that read and apply permissons are set on the GPO for the users that it applies too.

Ok I think I figured out script problem and some other things I didn't mention. I still can't figure out the system time problem which is probaly the easiest thing to set.

I have the GPO assigned to Domain Users and in the "Computer configuration>Windows Settings>Security Settings>Local Policies>User Rights" I have "Change the System Time" also set to Domain Users. I have the GPO enforced and everything but when the user logs onto the box they still aren't able to change their time. Do I have the right setting set or am I still off?

BTW the Domain box is running on Win2k3 Server Eval. Which so far hasn't caused me many problem.
