Clint just gave everybody a perfect example of why you don't ad-lib a speech. Even a few notes, a little prep go a long way.

He mocked Obama's support of Afghanistan and how nobody checked with Russia on how that went. Who's fvcking party's president kicked that off?

Clint has charisma. He could have done a lot better than this if he had prepared for the speech.

Seriously. A couple of veteran speech writers could used Clint to deliver some truly killer lines only he could have gotten away with.

These two men are not stupid - even if I disagree with them - but they've played to the base crowd... and the base keeps sinking lower and lower....
