Based upon the reasoning above. Using your logic there is never anything that the founders ever did that is up for discussion, regardless of what it is.

History tells us otherwise. At some points we have to question their logic and reasoning. To get to those points we need to have data. Right now there is conflicting data. The major one being popular vote.
How is the popular vote a conflicting data point when we don't elect presidents by popular vote? The states decide via electors.

Clinton also leads on youtube with animals. Haven't seen any dogs celebrating Trump's victory, but there are dozens of them crying about clinton's loss.

Vote differentials in 19 entire states combined was lower than vote differential in LA County.

New Hampshire
Michigan
Maine
Wisconsin
Nevada
Minnesota
Alaska
Delaware
New Mexico
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
Vermont
Arizona
Montana
South Dakota
Florida
Wyoming
North Dakota
Colorado

Considering we are a united STATES that would be a travesty to have a single less diverse county cancelling out the preference of 19 states.

Nonsensical bullshit. Clinton won NH, NV, MN, DE,NM, RI, VT & CO.

What decided the election was narrow Trump wins in the usual swing states.

Where is that proof? The system is working perfectly, you just think you're smarter than the founders. You're not.
I've already given the proof and spreadsheet showings it's not perfect. And yes lots of people are smarter than the founding fathers were, we know way more today than they ever dreamed possible. They didn't get everything right, hence amendments.

Knowing things doesn't equate to "smart". Where are those spreadsheets?

You start from nothing and create a process unheard of in the world and that sustains itself for 240 years.

Go ahead.

Try.

Most "smart" people fail at creating a process that stands strong after even a month, don't even think about 2,880 months.

You may "know" stuff, but that doesn't mean you know how to accomplish grand things.

Straight popular vote like all other elected officials. Done. Easy. Next.

EC has been challenged more than another other single part of this countries constitution. Over 700 times in those 240 years. Yup. Works perfectly lol

Sorry it was in the other EC thread. Numbers are a tad dated as I did this on Nov 16th, but would only favor Clinton just a tad more now. I'll update it when all numbers are finalized.

If you don't get it, that's on you and your brain capacity and always wanting to cling to tradition.
We already knew the president wasn't elected on a perfectly democratic system. The EC was devised to avoid single counties to override 19 combined states as would have been the case this year. If you add Cook county in Illinois then you have 2 counties having more say than 25 states combined. A system where two metropolis and less diverse areas could override 25 entire states is a horrible way to pick presidents. We are a United STATES and the states decide who is president, not a direct vote.

Because people are idiots. We don't have any national votes for any office.

We've changed the way we do things many times, from landowners voting to universal white male suffrage, to the end of slavery, to direct election of Senators, to Women's suffrage & more universal suffrage through the voting rights acts.

I think we've held more closely to the principles of Democracy in every instance. It's been a work in progress & this is no different.

Electoral college majorities that are not established by a popular vote majority are corrosive to the legitimacy of our govt, to the way we see govt. They fly in the face of our principles.

Having seen enough of your posts and knowing you lack honor, honesty and integrity. I really can't say i support your "principles" whatever they may be at this moment after the election. I'm sure they'll corrode into something different if the need or want arises.

So you'd prefer minority rule for all situations going forward?
