Greetings,

Bernie and Hillary come from two different backgrounds. I trust Bernie more to do what he thinks is right for America. With that said, and I will state again, I will vote for Hillary before voting for one of the repugs.
There are more than 2 parties in this country though too and in all honesty they are far far better. Greens are way better than Dems.

I'd take Jill Stein over hiLIARy anyday.

More or less.

Welcome to the forum!

I hope Bernie and Hillary, Socialists and Communists as they are, go down in flames.

-John

Good morning Zorkorist,

Thanks for the welcome, you're the first one who has offered that to me.

I hope you're wrong about Bernie and Hillary, for our children and grandchildren's sake.

I do like your quote...

"Sadness is a wall between two gardens." Kahlil Gibran

-John

Hi Zorkorist,

Kahlil Gibran is one of my favorite authors. I invite you to read "The Profit," it will change your life, and it is apolitical.

Zork is just another one of those random persons like Speedy on the forums that says nothing worth remembering the vast majority most of the time, just as a FYI.

Good morning MonGrel,

In the short time that I've been here, I've been impressed with much of what you state. With that said, and in keeping with the spirit of your post, I have hopes for everyone, no matter how distant their views are from mine (though sometimes I slip and say something that I realize could have just as easily been positive, but we're all human).

Hi TheSlamma,

I voted for John B. Anderson, which was a throw away vote, but nonetheless indicates that 3rd party candidates exist, if for no other reason show that people advocate what they stand for. :hmm:

No vote is a throw away. Only party sheep will have people believe that.

If more people could remove that terrible indoctrination then maybe more people would vote for their best interest.. you know rather than RePukelican or DemoCrook

Good evening TheSlamma,

We all tend to vote our conscience (at least I hope) even if that vote seems like a waste to others. For me, at this stage in my life, I feel that Bernie is the best choice (he was independent for years). And if for some reason that Hillary gets the Democratic nomination, I will vote for her. Who do you plan on voting for?

Sanders, even if I have to write it in.

Hillary is just going to be 8 more years of Obama, who has sat by while Apple is on trial and being asked to produce a product that allows the government to spy on all of us. His answer at SxSW says it all now matter how much the resident spin doctors here will try to counter that. Corporations and the top 1% have also continued to become more powerful and banks are back to doing CDO's again under a different name.

Good morning TheSlamma,

I hear ya bro. You'll vote your conscience and I commend you for that. However, I will do the same, even if it means voting for Hillary, because I can't tolerate the thought of a Trump or Cruz presidency. Feel the Bern!!

Hey Swamplizard

Boy they don't make em like you anymore, you are a very cordial and respectful person.

I hear ya about Trump and Cruz, I almost feel Trump is so bad he might lead us to start a revolution if elected lol.

I sincerely do believe 100% that he stands zero chance at office though. The math just doesn't add up for the Republicans anymore.

Hey back TheSlamma,

Thanks for the gracious remarks, I try and stay civil in all of my affairs, but alas, sometimes I fail. I hope you're right about Trump, but they have been counting him out ever since he threw his hat in the ring, and now he has more delegates than anyone thought possible, and it looks like he'll take New York. Even worse is Cruz, the fanatical, ultra-right wing recording.

Well said. At the least, the losing party has to note the people who were motivated to vote but for neither major party.

lol "Feel the Bern!!" is rapidly turning into "Feel the wrath of the Hildabeast!!"

Not that I really blame you. I too dislike the idea of a Trump or Cruz presidency. I also dislike the idea of a Kasich presidency if it's orchestrated by a GOP establishment bent on ignoring the expressed wrath of its supposed base, even though I voted for the guy. I just don't see a Hillary presidency as any better. Same authoritarian march, just with slightly different aims for the wealth and power wrestled from the people. A pox on them all.

"They're all the same" is the lamest thing. The notion that there aren't huge differences between Clinton, Trump & Cruz is absurd.

Evenin' werepossum,

Your style is noteworthy and I appreciate your concerns, but Hillary (IMHO) is way above the Trump and Cruz. With that said, Bernie is not out of it yet, and if nothing else he is causing Hillary to modify her position and is making a better candidate out of her. Feel the Bern!

Nonviable... in the general election? Really?

no, non-viable as in she might lose *all* the delegates from some of these western states (Alaska for example) because she's been blown out in many of these states and if the few delegates she did win don't show up for later rounds of the process like has already happened in Nevada or Missouri...

I take it you aren't really paying attention to what is going on.

Hi Bro,

Hillary is a much, much better selection than the Trump or Cruz.

And the sidewalk is better than the gutter and the gutter is better than the sewer.

Clinton is much better because she pretends that she is on the side of main street America but the end result is the same corporate sewer.

I'm pretty sure that the Clinton campaign & the Party are working hard to see that doesn't happen again.

Alaska only has 16 pledged delegates. Clinton leads by 200-250 pledged delegates. Bernie will have to win big in some of the higher delegate count states to take the nomination.

I see you've bought into Repubs' "Can't trust Hillary!" propaganda. Otherwise, you'd say "claims that she is on the side of main street America".

On the other side of it, Trump makes conflicting claims in a single sentence, Cruz advances the idiocracy of the Fundie-whack Teatards & Kasich is a trickle down Neocon.

When it comes down to the real thing, the general election, Clinton is obviously the better choice than any of them.
