just stick with the platforms for now until you get familiar with your bike and the trail, otherwise you're not going to enjoy the ride because you're always worrying about clipping out on time... i ride clipless on my roadbike so i put them on my MTB as well... i just do XC riding with my humble hardrock...
When you say platforms, you mean the stock pedals of the hardrock which don't require specials shoes, right? When you say clipless pedals, you mean the pedals which require special MTB shoes with cleats that clip into the pedals? When you say clips pedals, you mean pedals with a clip around your feet?
So basically, you are saying that to go ahead on this MTB trail with the stock, platform hardrock pedals and my regular outdoor sneakers?
