This reminds me I was fixing someone's computer once at their house. Waiting for a scan to finish I just sat on the couch. We were just talking or what not, just passing time. He then decides to clip his nails right in the middle of the conversation. Who the hell does that? I could hear them fly everywhere and got a couple in the face. Even at home, I do it in the bathroom, I normally do it in the sink so I can contain them, then just rinse it out.

Some asshole clipped his/her toe nails at my last desk at work and chucked them under the desk. Guess who had to clean the shit up one by one.

As far as I'm concerned, if you can do it under your desk/out of sight and the clippings go in the trash can it's not a big deal. If somebody can see it then you shouldn't do it, and if you leave clippings on the floor then you're disgusting. No toenail clipping at all, that should stay at home.

That being said, if it bothers somebody and they ask you to stop, then you should stop and respect their request.

Story:
Guy I worked with used to do this at his desk every week, I fucking hated it. One time I decided to walk over and say something to him about it... he had taken his shoes and socks off and was cutting his TOENAILS at his desk.

Clipping nails is personal hygiene and should be done privately. No different than shaving, brushing your teeth/flossing, or picking your ear/nose. If you see someone do this at work, a note (perhaps anonymous) should be left on their desk to do this only in the restroom. Even if YOU don't find this gross, other people do. Its called consideration of others.

I'd take that over what I get to deal with on my shift. Singing/talking to yourself loudly enough that I can hear it from half way across the office. I've heard "holy ****" 4 times in a 15 minute span tonight. I keep looking for a fire or a rip in the fabric of space/time but don't see anything. Considering all he's doing is creating accounts in AD, I'm sure what could possibly be so exciting.

I carry them in my pocket and floss after a meal. Having two root canals in less than a year and both attributed to me ignoring flossing taught me a hard lesson. I floss after every meal including lunch.

That might mean I do it in my car. But if I do it on work premises, its in the restroom so I can rinse in the sink. I dont litter and throw them on the ground...
