ClonyXXL question

I am running Windows XP and aspichk shows ASPI to be correctly installed -- right versions according to the chck. . Clony XXL however reports no ASPI layers found and hangs. I can exit from ClonyXL by checking the box to ignore ASPI. I would appreciate your help since as far as I can tell ASPI is installed and operating, but Clony persists in thinking it is not.
