Closing Kmart store 60% off everything

This is my first post here.

I just learnt from the TV that everything in closing Kmart stores are have 60% off. You can go to www.kmart.com and use the store locator to find the stores near you, and the closing stores are marked. Should be a lot of good deals there. Good luck guys.

Was 40-60% last week when I went in, could very well be 60% by now... then again most everything of value is gone. But I did manage to get some awesome games PS2/PS1/SNES/NES/N64/etc all 60% off.. for example I found Wild Arms 2 for $7.99 .. oh man!

We have one store closing here in Huntsville, Alabama.. Most of the items are just picked-over junk.. There are a few decent deals, $1.50 for cereal (Anywhere else would be $3and up), cigarettes on sale 40% off (wouldn't recommend unless you like stale cigarettes), A few odds and ends, but mainly junk.
Good luck finding some Hot Deals in there, they are few and far between.

A thing Remember is that The liquidators RAISED some of the prices.

I went into a KMart (mankato, MN) about a month ago and it looked like someone had driven a truck through it. ALso many of the REDUCED prices were still higher than WalMart.

I was at one in Kansas City today. About 3/4 of the store still full of stuff. Not junk, just regular merchandise you'd find at KMart. (Okay you could argue it's ALL junk there...) Walk through the store and buy stuff you'd use anyway...Drano, baggies, medicine, oil filters, etc. The HOTTEST deal I found was battery powered socks. LOL!

The Deerfield Beach, FL location had a crapload of Golf Clubs left... Im gonna go back tommorow and hunt through their stock and pick up some needed wedges.

They don't have crap here at the Clinton, IA location. Just the normal junk they have and many useless toys.

Still was tons of stuff at the one I stopped at today (Reading PA)...everything is 40-60% off...they're overloaded with toys which makes me think some liquidator chain is going to end up with a warehouse full of stuff by the end of the year. As others have said, some of the stuff was marked up. Whether or not it's just the store price having gone up since the original sticker was stuck on the item, or their having become greedy lately remains to be seen, but there's some decent stuff if you're willing to paw through the boxes/mess.

Picked up one of these for 20 bucks there today (they must've had around 15-20 more)

I did notice that as well! They did a local news segment on that as well, and actually said that Kmart is bringing in stuff that's not selling from other stores that will remain open that are in surrounding areas of closing stores as well, and were jacking the prices up on quite a few things.. Not quite as bad as Kroger does with their spying "Extra Value cards" (One reason I actually can't complain about Walmart..At least they have some respect for your privacy - Have to give them credit for that ).

Well, Kmart did sell a lot of junk, but is a quicker in and out type place than Walmart (Maybe that's because they sell so much junk ). I like their pharmacy for that, plus the 10$ giftcards for getting new rx's filled that after insurance my payment would be $1.
I guess it depends on what store you go to.. But for those of you in Huntsville, Alabama, the one on S. Parkway (only one closing in town) is pretty much sold out of anything of any value. Beware of perishable food and cigarettes as well, the brand I smoke recently changed labels and Kmart is one of FEW places to still hold that old label (good indicator to me they haven't restocked new items for at least 5 months), there are a few office supplies left, but nothing of use that's computer related left.
