Closing L6 bridges to change multiplier?

I can change the multiplier on my 1Ghz 266 Tbird by closing some of the L6 bridges. Is this true? If so, a few questions:

Do I have to close the L1 bridges first?

My multiplier is currently 7.5 If I close the appropriate L6 bridges to get an 11 or 11.5 multiplier (looks easy), and I want to go _back_ to my initial multiplier, can I just "erase" my pencilled bridges?

Will a normal pencil eraser erase pencilled in bridges?

Can you remove bridges created with a conductive pen?

No, you only close the L1 bridges to change the multiplier

"Reread" the linked article more carefully. It describes a workaround for a "special" boot-time problem where the user tries to run a 100MHz cpu with the 133MHZ Host clock and FSB clock setting available on newer mobos.

Your 266 1G chip's Multiplier settings are designed to run with 133MHz, so you would not have this problem...workaround does not apply.

Overclock your chip in any of the ways described at http://members.nbci.com/candjac/index.htm Duron/Tbird OC article, which btw let's you "understand" all the bridges and their functions.
