The clothes say a lot about the man and determine the type of women you'll attract. If I walked around like a wannabe rapper, I'd probably attract trashy girls with laquered hair. If I dress in a three piece, I'll catch the eye of professional women. Dickies, jeans and a ratty t-shirt, I got farmer girls beating down my barn door.

I mix it up between sharp as hell and casual. I don't like being one way or the other too many days in a row.

Better advice... look really good naked.

If you want to impress chicks in a wild jungle tribe, make sure to wear large penis sheath.

I'm not so sure about that gilt.com site. They had a pretty nice price on a wilson polo, so I thought I would give it a shot. They wanted $12 to ship it and it would take 2-3 weeks, wtf? Screw that.

Also you're not that tall. I'm 6'3 and any shirt that is XL fits perfectly.

It depends on your build really. I can wear a nice pair of jeans and a XL t-shirt and have women drooling.

Shipping is probably more reasonable if you buy a bunch of stuff in one order.

Yeah, a black-t fitted really nice over a good body with jeans, good shoes and nice grooming is always successful for me.

That sounds completely overdressed. No jeans? I can understand not wearing the loose loungy faded Lee's anymore, but a quality and well-fitted pair of jeans is considered quite stylish. By button down shirt, I assume you mean oxford shirts (dress shirts). Button down shirt means button down collar, and that is way too dressy for the weekend.

There are oxford shirts that are designed to be more casual, they typically have collar points and generally are not as stiff. You can pull off a decent look by rolling up the sleeves on these but it's not my cup of tea. For warm weather I'll wear a tight fitting polo shirt, it looks effortless and relaxed. As it gets cooler you can move to heavier material and long sleeves, and then you get into sweater territory.

Every button shirt I own has buttons for the collar. I do have some shirts supplied by my employer that are 3 button... those are the least dressy in my wardrobe (other than the gaming t-shirts).

I despise jean material, I prefer slacks. I mow in older pairs and I wear nice ones no matter where I go.

What can I tell you, I may be over dressed but I like the way I dress.

Gotcha, a lot of people misuse the term 'button down' so I wasn't sure. The look you're describing seems a little stuffy for me, but if you like it I wouldn't change it.

Word. A NICE pair of dark wash jeans can go a LONG way. If you go to a bar or lounge these are the only jeans that will get by, not a pair of faded Lees

Oh!!! Now I remember where I've seen that shirt from...I dated a guy who would wear it out. Meh...it's not that nice looking. Just be plain and simple; black shirt with dark, fitted jeans. What is so hard about that...

with jeans untucked

anything else tucked

also only the short shirts can go untucked (fall just below the belt) some shirts to past mid thigh and those should never be untucked and never worn with jeans

Meh it depends. Some of my "t-shirts" are higher quality shirts. I bought a silly Lucky Charms shirt last week and it was anything but lame.

Really I don't care what men on the internet think about clothes, that's not my target audience.

That use to be my philosophy, but it's getting harder and harder to buy shirts that aren't too long. I'm short, so a long shirt is very very easy to spot, and is magnified by my short legs. So, if the shirt fits very well both on the body, and in length, it goes untucked. If it is even slightly long, I tuck it, even with jeans. It looks surprisingly good on me. Maybe I should just get my shirts hemmed, but that's be annoying, and might not work out.

As for t-shirts, I only have 1 good fitting t-shirt that I'd wear if I wanted to look remotely satisfactory. Otherwise, I have a bunch of white undershirts that go great with plaid shorts.

I started going with nicer collared shirts and clean jeans or kakhis. It hasnt helped. I got more attention back when I was 18-21 and in excellent shape with all my hair, even if I wore a plain T-shirt and dirty jeans and no accessories.
Changing my style did not help me at all as I got older.
Perhaps when I can afford Armani suits..........

Yes, giving advice you turd. I have created a thread on clothes in the past, but just started listening to my female friend's comments when I go out.

depends on how formal the shirt is yes? if you got buttons for your collars maybe you shouldn't tuck/ if they don't even have collar tabs and are a casual button shirt then you can untuck with khakis. i wouldn't wear them with other slacks though.

Not to say you should hide it, but on a first date? I'm not going to hide the fact that I play games on xbox live, but I'm not going to introduce myself w/ my XBL handle! All about easing people into your interests.
