Excellent movie! I just saw it. And for the poster above, I did see I Am Legend, and was terribly fond of it.
Thats a very bad sign.
Sorry, its late. I edited it.

The only thing I will say about it is that I didn't regret the money I paid to see it, but I have no reason to see it again. Ever. Unless it's discovered that watching it backwards is some secret deal or something.
If you have ANY intention of seeing it, do it THIS WEEKEND before the hype fades and everything is spoiled, because without that this movie is nothing special.

I don't like the new RT. Where do i see stats like the movie length and genre and stuff?

I just saw it and really enjoyed it, a modern day godzilla movie, but as the OP states I did have the problem with the "ending." Lets just assume everything worked out.

Just got back from seeing it, I LOVED IT! Its different from all other movies out there and it is entertaining the whole way through. I will say though that the movie leaves a lot of questions. I'm not going to spoil anything for anyone, just go see it.
Also, the camera shaking isnt bad, it doesnt overstay its welcome.

Just saw it. No spoiler.
- I don't have any problem with the ending.
- Don't like the idiot "cameraman" much.
- The movie was not what I was expected. I thought more would have been revealed about the monster's origin. We do see what the monster look like.
- I never saw Blair Witch but know what it was about. Like Chuckywang said this is more scripted.
- Went with 5 friends; 1 left half way because of motion sickness headache, me and an other guy felt queasy afterward.
- If you are planing to go see it:
I heard you might want to pay close attention to the last homevideo clip at the end, don't focus on the couple but the ocean behind the ferris wheel, supposed to have some "interesting event"
I heard some say to stay for the credit. There is one line of a radio transmission.
(I missed both.)
I don't regret paying $11 for it. I was entertained throughout the whole movie. Don't think I will see it again, in theater or dvd.

Yeah, because I need that shitty web site to decide what I like and don't like. Thank God they are here, otherwise I might actually go and enjoy a BAD movie.
Are you also the type of person that just goes and buys a product without looking around first?

Nothing from what I have seen would indicate it was good, the trailer was OK, but I really don't like that whole "first person" view of things like the trailer had. Also the special effects were kinda silly like when the head of the statue of liberty (bronze) hit a building (steel and concrete) and the result was a huge explosion like 100 gallons of gasoline went off. Thats just a pet peave of mine when random things blow up in huge fireballs for no good reason.
But then again I don't go to RT much, but from my experience they tend to give pretty crappy ratings to ALOT of movies, and the taste in movies there is something rather different than the general population.
I'll always remember Cloverfield as the first thing that made me vomit since that teriyaki in San Diego.

What a horrible movie
-Lesson Learned: never unders-estimate the power of a musical score in storytelling and conveying emotion
-Annoying characters that just constantly complain
-Nauseating camera work. At several parts during the movie i simply had to close my eyes
-Half the shots in this movie are of useless talking and running (which incidentally creates a really shakey camera)
-Therse no real explaination of a before or after regarding the monster.
-No real character development
-Compared to Blair Witch this movie sucked so much more. What made Blair Witch good was the building suspense an the evident psychological deterioration of the 3 main characters. Nothing similar really occurs in Cloverfield
-When the movie ended everyone was just like "what the fuck"
-In all honesty i'd rather watch a retarded film like Godzilla than this vomitorium of a film. sigh 10 bucks and a perfectly good friday night wasted
-SPOILERS...
-Beth should have died after they pulled her from that spike
-No sane person would hold on to a camera when theyre a) running for their life b) climbing across a crumbled building c) fighting monsters

Does anyone know what happened in that scene? I didn't notice anything other than the couple.
