I finally saw this thing and:

- shakiness didn't bother me at all like I was expecting it to (from all the complaints). I have problems when playing Halo, but no problems with PC FPSs... my wife didn't have a problem either. If you were let-down by this, it's too bad. I think this issue stems from field-of-view for a lot of people.

- the 1st person POV made you feel like you were in it (unless you were consumed by nausea) and that's what was special about it. Blair Witch you saw absolutely nothing and even though it was 1st-person, you were not even close to being as engrossed in the whole thing.

- it was sorta ridiculous how they survived the chopper falling from so far up, followed up by the monster standing right on top of them without them seeing/hearing it coming. Also it was sorta ridiculous how Beth made it all the way back to her apartment in that short amount of time since she left the party. And I guess Travis didn't "get lucky". The falling bridge scene they ran from... it was well done, even though hard to believe.

- it took me like 4 tries to see the object falling from the sky (right before they cut to Rob & Beth's faces). Divide the screen up into 25%/50%/75% left to right... it fell diagonally from the top right corner toward the left to about the 80% mark of the screen. You don't see anything extravagant really aside from a small black dot making a very small splash in the water. No way is that the actual monster itself... it's definitely still a sea monster.. especially with what looked like gills in the scene where it ate Hud.

- Beth was hot and they definitely needed more of her. Actually the whole cast came from Abercrombie & Fitch. The acting wasn't great, but the movie as a whole was extremely entertaining because of the pace. Thrilling ride once the going-away party was over. I don't think a sequel of any sort would work as well though. You would need entirely unforeseeable ideas surrounding the monster itself and that still won't be nearly as entertaining to sit through.

I just watched it last night and I gotta tell ya, I liked it much better than what most people say.

shouldn't the chopper explode after falling that far from the sky?

the monster that hit the sea....I do believe it is the monster. You said it looked much smaller, but the distance from the ferris wheel to the ocean where it fell could be miles so that's why it looked small. Not to mention the fact that the creator did say that monster was just a baby....meaning even if it was small when it hit the water, it could've been eating whales to gain in size. Afterall, that video on the ferris wheel was shot some time before all the attacks started and no one really knows how fast this alien can grow could we? If it was just a baby....WTH does the parent look like?

I also think there were multiple monsters....the one in the park where it ate hud was much smaller than the one that attacked the city.

I really hope this movie is a prequel to a massive movie the size of ID4, that would be sweet! But from all the interviews, the creator was thinking small and just talked about another movie from another camera. There were many camera's on during that night and we just saw what happened from one camera.

The girl that was bit.....was there a small parasite that popped out of her stomach like in aliens? Or did the venom from the parasite cause her blood to explode? I think it was a small alien, because you could see the army guy point his gun at her stomach. but if the alien popped out, where is it? You didn't hear him fire his gun....this is one of the many mysteries...

This is one things that I had wondered myself. I enjoyed the movie but I am a person who asks a lot of questions, I always want to know more. So with all the limited details in the movie I walked away disappointed. Some of those questions have been answered since then and I think I will see the movie again and try to pay closer attention.
