Club-going ATOTers, have you experienced "the sassy girl" phenomenon?

I haven't indulged myself in the bar scene. It seems like to hostile of an environment to meet people that way.

However, I'll go ahead and say that I've seen this at other house parties and whatnot. But, here, it seems like every girl is an attention whore, not just the uggos. Maybe they have low self-esteem?

My good friend.....I'll never figure out his deal.....he's probably a 5 or 6 on a scale of 10 (rating him for the purpose of the story) can pull more ass than any man I know. We call him the "grenade jumper". He not only "grenade jumps" out of the interest of our group, but because he actually seems to enjoy it.

They all tell me I use the "Divide and Conquer" method, but I've never noticed it's my way until they pointed it out. It seems to work really well for me though. Once he has the uglier/plumper girl out of the way or softened up I move in and make my pick, getting her to move away from her group so I can work in private. My other friends in the group are more "social" in a sense that they'll leave the rest in the pack and work on them there.

The only time my "Divide and Conquer" strategy doesn't really work is if it's a bachelorette party or birthday party of bar hopping girls. They usually don't stay in one place long enough to be broken down like that and they're extra defensive because of the situation.

If I see a girl wearing a tiara or a mini wedding veil thing at a bar it's like a penis deterrent, I stay far away.

^correct. the key is to get on the sassy girl's good side, then you're in with the whole group. she's like the bouncer for the group of hotter girls.

I stopped going to clubs long ago, but the "sassy girl" has always been quite prevelant in Vancouver and I doubt anything has changed. Really they are everywhere though, not just in clubs, I even remember encountering them at parties in High School.

I've got a family member that fits the sassy girl description though. She isn't overweight or anything, but she is extremely loud and will be a total bitch whenever she can. Even at home, when there's no reason to call attention to herself, she'll do it. Never understood why and I try to avoid her as much as possible.

Yes, i have seen this and witnessed it as well. I get extremely annoyed at this show and cannot stand to see this occur. However, it is like a train wreck that you cannot turn away from because it is so awful.

As you yourself OP said, it is all about trying to fit in and lacking honest, true confidence.

Best thing to do is to give her as little attention as possible. That is what she is craving.

As a female, it is a turn off to see. I cannot imagine how awful it is as a male looking at this.

I live in Boston.

I find most girls at clubs/bars are fairly fit and attractive. At some of the bars I go to (White Horse tavern in Allston for instance), it is very rare to even see an overweight girl. I also find most of the fat girls aren't really that loud and really seem more insecure than "sassy"... I think some of the more attractive girls might bring them along to make them look better and to lessen the intimidation factor. Nobody is scared to talk to a fat girl, so guys can start with them then move on to the hot ones
