I just put together my new computer with a HAF-X case on Tuesday, and I have to say that the cable management with that case is the easiest cable management I have ever done. I'll have to take some pics and post them (It won't be nearly as neat and clean as others on this thread, since I didn't put much time into it, but I am amazed at how easy it was).

One problem I have is that the fans on it are really loud! Does anyone know which of the case fans are really the loud ones? I would love to replace them with quieter fans.

I only have one fan in the case that didn't come with it, a 120mm fan that came with my H60 heatsink. The other thing it could be is the HD 6970 fan, but I kind of doubt it is that one, since it is always loud, not just when playing a game.

Anyone else having difficulty in removing the side panel fan?...I know it is suppsed to take a 3mm Allen wrench, but the screws in the fan appear to be just round holes like they were over-screwed by a machine drill in the factory?

I removed mine first thing when I noticed they were Allen type. No idea why they used those, just makes it a PITA for anyone who doesn't have an Allen set sitting around. If yours are stripped out, you might have to drill them out (or use a tap & die set?).

To Martimus: it's likely the fan that came with your H60...I used the 2 fans that came with my H70 and when I replaced those, audible fan noise dropped considerably. It's definitely not the 220mm fans making all that racket...

Update on my HAF 932 system: my Corsair TX950 ended up having some squealing capacitors, so I switched it out for an AX750. Cable management just got 1000% easier

Good to hear. Just take your time with it and if there is a problem, take a step back for a few moments to think on it. If I was not waiting on the MM Extended Ascension I just ordered, I would be rerouting some of my wiring that I did on my case right now.

New loop with 140mm radiator on the back. The 140 radiator BARELY fits there, I lucked out. Getting it all to fit without using any 90/45 fittings was exciting.

I see a modular PSU in your future. :awe:

I am actually surprised that 140mm rad fit there with how tight everything looks, but you looked to have pulled it off very well.

How much did you improve your temps. with the 140 added to the loop?

Brought my 6970s down from ~55C to 50C. It is amazing how much heat these cards make when unlocked, and overclocked w/ voltage.

And yeah... modular PSU is a must for my next upgrade, but for right now I can't justify the expense with my 850 watt handling everything perfectly fine.

I got hold of an 3mm Allen wrench for $.70 at a local hardware store...despite looking like they were stripped I was able to unscrew them....great case. But I have to give a -1 to Coolermaster for using these screws and not including a 70 cent tool to change the OEM fan, espcially since they make a point out of doing so in the manual.

That is a decent decrease in temps for sure.

As long as the PSU is working, then you are golden. I just could justify going full modular right now.

I figured out it was the side fan. (I have been too lazy until now to actually test it) I just unplugged it, and now it is just sitting there. I might move it up to the top of the case and see if it is quieter there. (The H60 fan is actually pretty quiet, which is the biggest reason I bought it over the H50. It was supposed to have a more quiet design, although I have two unused Scythe S-Flex 120mm fans I could use on it if I want to.)

I've received the HAF 912 case last week. How well will all of this fit in it? Already have the motherboard installed and I'm already jealous of the nice cable management.

Motherboard
PSU (Buying next.)
CPU
RAM
HDD (Few of these maybe?)
Blu-ray disc burner
GPU (The very last since Motherboard has integrated GPU which is the 4290. OF WHICH I hope far superior to the 8400 GS I own.)

No fans with Blue/Red LEDs for me. Strictly airflow cooled. Any suggestions for cable management? I don't have a digital camera unfortunately.

The HAF 932 only has one red LED fan, and it's not "ricer" in the slightest.
Being mounted on the inside of the case, the light is very muted.

I don't like "riced up" cases either. Too many LED's make a case look gaudy and silly, IMO. I don't have a problem with the single LED fan on the 932. It's pretty nice.

Actually I was slightly considering some Green UV/Green LED fans if they were dark enough more because Green Lantern case mod but nah. Only time I'd actually use Blue LEDs for a case is if I'd do a case mod which is TRON themed. Classic TRON of course.:awe:
But no "ricing" it up for me, thank you kindly.

I think when my replacement B3 Extreme6 gets here on Monday or Tuesday, I'm going to strip the case down in order to coat the inside. Likely going to use automotive rubber-coat-in-a-can instead of paint. It'll give it a matte appearance, and might even help reduce noise from vibration? We'll see.

And as far as the side fan...I had a noise issue with mine as well, so I snipped the LED cables on the clear 220mm that I had removed from the front and installed it on the side panel. Noise is gone, but I might consider getting a different one. Anyone recommend an exceptional quality 200-250mm fan?

FYI, rubberized coating in lieu of paint was not a good idea. It wasn't very durable and could have flaked off easily. Ended up having to strip the entire cage down to prime and repaint it.

Turned out pretty nicely though, was a fun project despite the fact that a one day project turned into four, lol. Here's a few last revision pics before selling the system :'(
