AFAIK, the HAF X is the only model that allows you to turn off the front fan's LEDs.
I have the 932, and the LEDs in the fan aren't very bright...however, the 2 LEDs for power and CPU are so bright you could use them to signal the space station...(hard to believe something so small could be so friggin bright!)
There are ways of modding different LEDs into the panel...but that's more than I want to deal with.

The front fan's LEDs can also be turned off on the 922. The power and hard drive LEDs aren't too bright on the 922 and if they did bother me, a little black electrical tape would cover them up nicely.

thx guys. that's the deciison now... 922, 932 or haf x at premium cost.

hmmm.....
i wanted the black edition haf 932 but not if i get a nightlight for free.
i like the room completely dark for movies.

guess a little black electrical tape would be good enough and save me about 30 bucks.
may come down to which on is sitting at the local fry's or microcenter.

For me, dust is always an issue. I have to blow the dust out of my case once per month. Having filters would help that somewhat...but I'd have to clean the filters every week or two, or suffer the consequences...heat.
I was supposed to do the dirty today, but got lazy. If it's not raining tomorrow, I'll take the box outside and give it a good blow job...
It's in dire need of one. We live on the edge of the farm country here in California's Central Valley. I'm nearly surrounded by almond, peach, and dairy farms...and it's the dirtiest place we've ever lived. I vacuum my office at least once per week...and it still looks like this after a month:

Of course, in addition to all the dust/dirt, we also have 2 small dogs and one cat...all of whom seem to make it their life's work to shed everywhere...in copious amounts.

That is what mine looks like

For those HAF 932 owners, is dust really an issue?

I'm torn between the CM 690 Advanced (has fan filters) and the HAF 932 (has no filters). Based on the reviews I've seen, the HAF provides much better overall cooling. The HAF-X is out of my price range, and as much as I want it, I just can't justify the extra cost.

The case will be sitting on the floor under my desk.

Dust issues are dependent on the environment that the case is in. Whether you have pets (dander+hair), whether you smoke (residue), and even just where you live (desert?) will affect the amount of dust that gets drawn into your case. It also helps to have the case elevated (i.e. on a table instead of on the floor).

I was concerned about dust in my new build, so I purchased a stack of filters along with the new fans I purchased. Within two weeks of installing them, I ended up pulling them again for several reasons: noise, airflow, and lack of need. I don't smoke in my home and have no pets, and I've noticed very little dust inside my case.

I had actually replaced the side 230mm fan with 4x120mm+filters, and it was just overkill (not to mention a lot louder). The only filters I'm still using now are for the 120mm intake in the bottom behind the PSU, and the intake for my H70 mounted in back. I'm considering removing both fwiw.

BTW, I'll try to get some updated pictures for you, OVerLoRDi

Updated pics posted for OVerLoRDI, who wanted to see examples of cable management. This is after replacing most fans with Noctuas and moving the PSU from the bottom to the top-mount position. My H70 rad is also exhausting instead of intake now. Sorry for the crappy iPod pics (again), but you can see enough to suffice...

I cannibalized my mobo box in order to make a few cardboard panels to cover some of the cables behind the tray in my tower. Doesn't look too bad for it's relative ghetto-ness, lol. Enjoy.

P.S. The Noctua 120mm and 140mm fans? Meh...$150 for 6 fans...they're a lot quieter and move air pretty well, I guess the cost will be justified when I'm still using them 5 years from now, but it was a little hard to swallow initially...

That looks awesome, Pohemi! I might have to use your setup as a template for my new build.

They finally made it all black...only thing I had hated about my 932. Nice to see they also have updated the front panel to add USB 3.0 support.

New here and such , first things first, hello all , second hello fellow puertorican zi0n  and... where did you get that HAF-X?, been looking for a HAF 922 in PR myself, was thinking of ordering one from newegg, Cooler Master HAF 922, $53.08 just for the shipping , i could save myself the shipping charge and get better and bigger ram for my new SB build, anyways kind of out of topic, back to those beatifull HAF's and them nice wiring jobs (very nice btw).

i had alot of issues with haf 932 cable management. i tried but the cables on the corsair 750w are to big. the back panel would bulge and become difficult to get on so had to leave most of them in the case.

did they add more room in the back on the haf x?

If I remember right, there is no real difference in cable management on the side panel. I would try routing the cables a different way to see if there is a better management. I know with my 932 I had to work on making sure everything had a clearance with my Corsair cables to close the side panel.

Good to hear. Just take your time with it and if there is a problem, take a step back for a few moments to think on it. If I was not waiting on the MM Extended Ascension I just ordered, I would be rerouting some of my wiring that I did on my case right now.

Yeah Im actually getting it done much faster then last time only I got a few pesky cable to deal with. So far everything's working out ok i have almost everything running throught the back except a sata and 2 molex power cables that i need to take more time to figure out where to put.I think i will finish the rest tomarrow.

btw I made a shocking discovery There was mouse crap in my case and wasn't happy... I couldn't figure out how they got in.

First I thought the water cooling holes in the back but they have rubber grommets so it seemed less likely. After exploring the case a bit I found out where they got in
through a opening in the bottom of the front panel.

luckly they didnt chew anything up.

But can you imagine what it would be like for a mouse if inside the computer and then someone turning it on thats got to be scary.

Anyone else having difficulty in removing the side panel fan?...I know it is suppsed to take a 3mm Allen wrench, but the screws in the fan appear to be just round holes like they were over-screwed by a machine drill in the factory?
