I have been thinking about trying WaterCooling for the first time.
What setups do you guys have for your Storm Trooper cases?
I was thinking about making this easy and getting a H100. I also would like to know how people manage to get push pull on top of the Storm Trooper. I don't see the room for it.
I am going to be overclocking a 3770K, aka hot chick or is it chip?

Thanks

Well I was Looking at the H100 cause everything would fit inside the case. But now I am leaning towards a Rasa 360 kit and putting the rad outside the case in the back.
I'm happy with my Archon and I don't know if the H100 will out perform it. I just put in a 3770K at 4.4 and on Linx the hottest core hits 80c. I might not even need water Cooling.

Work on your case airflow. I recently set a 120mm fan on top of my GPU exhausting towards the back-end of the case to help a dead air space, and also took out the empty PCI/PCIe slot covers on the case and it helped exhaust alot of hot air coming from the North-Bridge, VREGs, and GPU. Before in 70*f ambients my VREGs reached 51-54*C and now they are cool at 41-43*C

My PCI/PCIe slot covers have holes in them already for air to escape. I'm using the Igpu so I do not have a video card. I have two 140mm fans on top one in the back two on the side and one on the bottom of the case. Have one blowing over my hard drives and two TY-150's blowing through the Archon.
All connected to a fan controller except for the two CPU fans that are connected to the two CPU mobo fan headers.
When I do my encoding my hottest core hit's 70c and that's at 4.4 with HT on.

Sure am. Five years ago I was encoding on this computer that I am now typing on Dell 4400 Pentium4 1.7GHz 512MB Ram Win98se and I would stop using my computer everyday at 6pm and setup my encode software for two movies and when I would wake up at 6am it would just be finishing up. Now I can encode any DVD in 20minutes or less
I just started upgrading last year, bought my first Sata HD and a E7500 Dual Core, CM 690 case and a Asrock Dual Sata 775 mobo then to a Gigabyte for better overclocking(that was a mistake) and have been on a upgrading frenzy ever since. Now I have this CM Sorm Trooper case and Asrock Fatal1ty Z68 Pro mobo and my first SSD HD and even am using two Raid0 arrays. Only thing left is to go water cooling and I am done with upgrades. This comp will be encoding for the next 20 years, all the new stuff is geared towards gaming which I Never do.

Go with it, man! Awesome! Just know when to stop the upgrading

I stopped at this i7 920. It's fast enough for what I do but the heat and electric use is what gets my conscious. In winter times, i'm "cool" because of the heat it puts out. I just keep having to tell myself I'm only using as much as 2 100w bulbs in a socket to get over the electrical use these hog up.

I think you'll be fine with your HS&F. I had a custom loop and even after it was a better cooling solution, the motor noise ended up getting to me. I like a quiet PC,,, for a main rig. I'll put up with a little noise from my other machine. Looking at things now, I'd try the H100 if you are bent on seeing how it performs. Maybe someone else with an H100 could chime in on the noise levels and performance.

I've been reading that Corsair is going to be putting out a 110 sometime in the future but for a little bit more money a XSPC Rasa 750 RS360 kit is supposed to cool way better.
I will make a choice in the next couple of weeks.
After the Water Cooling I am DONE with the upgrades
But your right, the cooling I have now will get the job done fine for now.
But maybe i want to go to 4.6 or 4.8. Will need Water but I am doing great at 4.4 and won't gain that much more but..................................
