CM Z600 and socket 1155...

Hello folks,
Got a bit of a problem here...
Quite a while ago I purchased a Cooler Master Z600.

Now my old socket 775 setup has been sold, and I want to move to socket 1155.

Problem is, will I be able to use the cooler master on socket 1155 aswell?
Thing is, it only says socket 1366 is "optional" via a retention bracket.
I can't find specific information about socket 1155 and the Z600.
What I do find is that with the bracket it's also compatible with 1156.

Would be a shame to throw this old cooler away, it's a fantastic huge piece of alluminum.

So does anybody know? If I will be able to use this on my socket 1155 system.

That would be a shame. I never owned one, but I always considered it a nice alternative to the Scythe Ninja that I used.

Looks as if the mounts just bolt on to the bottom. If Cooler Master has not changed the mounts, then it can use mounts off one of their newer units like the 212+. I haven't seen them sold separately, but perhaps you can buy one on sale (often around $20 after rebate) and re-sell it for cheap minus the 1155 mounts.

An alternative is to buy a motherboard with socket 775 mounting holes. I know ASRock makes some. Basically instead of 4 holes around the socket, there are 8 holes. One "set" of four goes to socket 1155 coolers, and the second set goes to socket 775. Socket 775 coolers will be slightly rotated a hair, but it would work just fine.
