Well, WMP MTP-style sync does the same "Error" thing when connected to the tablet running WebOS but at least it shows up as USB Mass Storage for me to manually copy when in WebOS.

Weird. I tried two different PCs here. I get a MTP "cm_tenderloin" device whether I use MTP or MSC and WMP will fail either way. I do not get a mounted USB Mass Storage drive for manual copying unless I leave Android. It has to be related to neither MTP nor MSC being selected by default even though you are only able to change between selections but not deselect after choosing one. I see other references online where people say they aren'r sure why it isn't selected by default, but they say it behaves fine once they make the selection. I wonder if it will after I finish copying and reboot into CM9/ICS.

Don't know if I'm imagining it out not, it seems like the supreme mods modpack at rootzwiki has improved the performance of my touchpad. Anyone else give it a try?

I hope this fixes the issue with it not working with my laptop's Intel My WiFi feature. My Android phone connects ans stays connected just fine.

overall i think the touchpad runs slow as crap. compared to my sgs2, it's choppy as hell just scrolling homescreen to homescreen.

Which launcher are you using? Mine doesn't feel too bad, nothing like my Galaxy Nexus, but not too bad.

Apex. I've used Nova also. I don't think I have that many widgets, but it feels pretty choppy. I'd say my Nexus S and SGS2 look smoother. I'm guessing it's a drivers issue on the TouchPad because the hardware is more than capable.

I also get a lot of launcher redraws that it's quite annoying.

Which ROM are you using? I remember experiencing the whole launcher redraw thing. I haven't had that in a while. On the latest nightly with Nova: it's not the smoothest, but it's also not quite to where I'd say slow as crap.

After playing with the JB preview, the TouchPad will become much more enjoyable once a fully working ROM is released.

I'm using CM9 nightlies.... It's a nightly in July but I don't know off the top of my head. Not much has changed anyway since the microphone fix.

My stability recently just went down the shitter. Not sure what the culprit is yet; but getting A LOT of random freezes and reboots.

Also noticing some screen draw issues. It seems like every other screen draw is being rendered as a solid red screen when I'm scrolling, especially on graphic intensive websites.

try a full clean install. wipe everything, save your most important data on apps and titanium restore those. the rest like facebook and stuff that really doesn't have any data attached with it can be reinstalled manually.

i like to do a full wipe every once in a while. it's like reformatting your hard drive

I don't know if the camera will ever get fixed...a lot of people have tried and failed. Having a unique piece of hardware in there that isn't shared on any other platform means that developers would rather concentrate their efforts on other aspects of building for the TP. I personally don't care...sure, video chatting would be nice, but I have a phone, laptop, and PC for that.

After noticing the wifi won't auto shut off even when asked to, I installed juice defender ultimate and let that handle it. Standby battery life seems noticeably better now.

CM10 is available but is in Alpha, not ready for prime time yet.

fwiw - I sold my Touchpad this weekend and will probably be picking up a Nexus 7.

Eh, I just leave my Touchpad in WebOS anymore. As long as you're running Uberkernel with a 1.4Mhz+ speed, it's significantly better. I'm not sure how HP would think hitting the browser button and watching a little card flash for a few seconds was anything but unacceptable. It still doesn't feel as fast as my other tablets with the higher clock speeds, but it's much, much closer.
