Workaround for now would be to reboot it in to WebOS. Copy your files over that way.
I don't know. I'm starting to think the whole operating system is a known problem.
works fine for me. Just tested it. I was able to copy over files using USB mass storage and was able to sync some music over using WMP.
there's a new wifi driver if anyone wants to try:

it definitely fixes a lot of wifi issues for me.
So when the hell are they going to release a new stable ROM for the Touchpad? Alpha 2 is still the latest ROM and it's driving me nuts.
well i'd like to see the 3.0 kernel come out and possibly battery life fixes... and camera?
overall i think the touchpad runs slow as crap. compared to my sgs2, it's choppy as hell just scrolling homescreen to homescreen.
Which launcher are you using? Mine doesn't feel too bad, nothing like my Galaxy Nexus, but not too bad.
Apex. I've used Nova also. I don't think I have that many widgets, but it feels pretty choppy. I'd say my Nexus S and SGS2 look smoother. I'm guessing it's a drivers issue on the TouchPad because the hardware is more than capable.
I also get a lot of launcher redraws that it's quite annoying.
Which ROM are you using? I remember experiencing the whole launcher redraw thing. I haven't had that in a while. On the latest nightly with Nova: it's not the smoothest, but it's also not quite to where I'd say slow as crap.
After playing with the JB preview, the TouchPad will become much more enjoyable once a fully working ROM is released.
Has CM team done anything with 4.1 Jelly Bean yet?
