Dang, XDA is blacked out to. Guess I'll have to wait another day to try this. Thanks for the link though!

I was a little hesitant because of the video things, and decided to go for it anyway. It's amazing how much of an improvement ICS is.

Can you come back with an update after youve used it for awhile?

I'm kinda on the fence about sticking with CM7 (which seems to be working fine for me) or upgrading.

agree that it's pretty smooth. far better default launcher than CM7 (had to use go launcher/adw ex on that).

Still have to set up my google account, that broke in the upgrade (probably 2 factor related). It's missing from my accounts & sync page...

locking the tablet works now for me, it prompts for a PIN. but setting the lock timeout does nothing, it always is instant.

market fails to load for me.

MX Video Player seems to play fine. I just tested for a minute though.

i'm not liking the loss of the settings button in ICS, heh. Or the lack of page indicators for flipping through apps and widgets. or three taps to get to settings.

I'm getting used to some ICS weirdness (changes from previous versions in the UI) but overall it looks and works a lot better than the previous CM7 versions for the touchpad. I like it.

tap bottom corner.
tap settings icon.
tap settings.

unless i've missed a better way to get to it. before, it was just tap menu, then tap settings.

Oh my bad, when I think ICS I think Galaxy Nexus, which is a phone, not a tablet. :whiste:

That is a little annoying, but a settings shortcut is probably one of the first things I'd put on my homescreen anyway.

Tempting, I have CM7 working fine for now though and am going to stick with it until a few more things are ironed out with CM9. Netflix most notably. I'm liking the progress though!

Market worked fine for me this morning. Haven't really had a chance to play too much (work). I'll be able to provide a better update 3 or 4 hours from now (12 hour days ftw.)

Remember there are folders in ics so that can help with the clutter on home screens.

I'll wait till most of the important stuff works/functional, till then my TP will be purely WebOS 3.05.

Wow so far I am impressed. Yeah it has some bugs like no netflix etc.. but that will come. Can't beat the smoothness for the $99 most of us spent on it

I have couple spare Touchpads I can install CM9. I've been waiting for this release.

CM greatest strength is giving old or obsolete devices new life through their ROMs. CM6 gave new life to my MyTouch 3G phone. CM7 did the same for my Touchpad. Now it's time for CM9. to open source and  to all the hardworking ROM developers.

Load this for a proper ICS market.

So smooth. The stock browser alone makes it worth it.

No Netflix is a bummer, but movie playing with the stock player seems fine.

yeah, found that when looking to wipe everything. I have my google accounts back, but docs crashes continually trying to sync.

though, how the hell do you wipe the android partition. it's remembering stuff that isn't there.

Have you already tried wipe data/factory reset in clockworkmod recovery?

nope. guess that would be it (first rooted device, I haven't learned the ropes of android roms and junk). I miss the konami code ease and patching from webOS, heh. Though, the gallery finally let go of the non-existent data.

I just installed it. For some reason I can't get it to power off. Holding the sleep button worked at first, but now there's no response no matter how long I hold it. Anyone else having this problem?
