Now we can have a little more hope that this country can start to move in the right direction. I want to believe that Obama has the intelligence, the drive, and the ability to follow through on this promise. It won't be easy.

Yes, because raising taxes and spending more is clearly the best thing we can do. So intelligent.

Unfortunately, we will have to deal with the Obama folks tomorrow. It's going to be rough seeing all those dissapointed faces in about two years when nothing changes.
Except higher taxes and higher prices on everything.
Don't forget government-run healthcare, I'm sure that'll go over real well.
At least the war will be over sooner.

Because clearly the last 8 years we haven't spent much at all.

ITs sad to see our country make such a bad decision.
1 Samuel 1:18 ' When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king
you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.' 19 But the
people refused to listen to Samuel. 'No!' they said. 'We want a king over us. 20
Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out
before us and fight our battles.' 21 When Samuel heard all that the people
said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, 'Listen to them and
give them a king.'

Whoops.
And he got the popular vote too! Somehow I thought the total vote would be higher for him though.

1. I voted for McCain, but this is a democratic system so I'm not going to whine about losing. Even if Obama turns out to suck, we need him to be president now because clearly more than half the nation needs a reality check. Sometimes people need to get something they think they want even if it's not what they need.
2. That scripture is completely out of context and irrelevant here.
