It's kind of like revealing identity of a clansman who does racist stuff in a mask. Fair ball.
Well...yeah. Good point.
It's kind of like revealing identity of a clansman who does racist stuff in a mask. Fair ball.
So? They have the right to publish it, if it's the truth. At face value, sure, but...'a global billion-dollar media company said they reserved the right to publish my name should any of my statements change'.
So? They have the right to publish it, if it's the truth.
Except the guy said they didn't threaten him.
People who respect the first amendment should also respect the fourth.
If people do not like the author of anonymous posts, they should contact the publisher, not attack the author. CNN crossed a line because there was no crime committed, and if there were then the authorities would have handled it. Yes he appears to be a !@#$ poster, but even !@#$ posters have rights. Again, it comes down to the publisher.
He owes the guy a condo or something at least.I'm waiting for Trump to invite the meme's creator to the White House
Making "silly" antisemitic caricatures was par for the course in Europe in early 20th century. CNN is putting trolls on notice. You are allowed to attack our free press, but you aren't entitled to anonymity when doing so.It's just a weird situation all around. Making a silly gif meme is pretty par for the course on the Internet. The president retweeting it, not so much. CNN digging up the user's details who made the gif...what the heck lol. It's all very strange.
For the the last time, CNN is not "free media" or a member of the free press. CNN lost their membership to those groups when it decided to collude with politicians to rig the election.
People who are bashing them on this don't watch CNN anyways.LOL @ CNN. It's been a really good week for them.
CNN desperately wants the spotlight in this shitshowI'm fascinated by the amount that people are ignoring the President's role in this fiasco.
Where was the illegal search?People who respect the first amendment should also respect the fourth.

Trump's tweets are official White House statements. He continues to call out CNN.CNN desperately wants the spotlight in this shitshow
all they had to do was ignore it

And the Hair Furor? What about him?
Trump's tweets are official White House statements. He continues to call out CNN.
The POTUS is doing that.
Think about that.
And that's an embarrassment to our country and an assault on our free press but in no way excuses CNN basically committing extortion on the guy.
They're trying to deter others from engaging in similar behavior. It's not like they'll ever actually release his information. He could call their bluff and there's no chance they'll do it.
The last 9 months I've had to eat my hat on several things I never thought would happen.
