CNR NICs available anywhere?

Since the 815 chipset supports them and I was thinking of trying an SE6 I was looking around to see if I could find any and couldnt. Thing is, is that from what it looks like, it might be the network equivalent of a winmodem. Looks like the CPU has to do all the processing for the card. If thats the case... well that sucks

well from the way that most companies are trying to cut costs I dont see why eventually we can expect almost everything to be 'Win' Hell who knows, we might see WinHarddrives that use the CPU to do most of the work so there is no drive controller, WinVideo (not likely with the way Nvidia and 3Dfx are going tho) winNICs like you said, WinSoundcards. Wow what a scary thought that is. the makers of some stuff seem to think that since users have such powerful CPUs why bother doing it in hardware? that looks to be a big problem
